How Can I Post An Image Here For Illustration Purposes Without Uploading For Sale?

I wanted to post a couple of small images for discussion without uploading them for sale. I'm sure I've seen people do this, I would be grateful if someone can tell me how. I just have them as jpgs on my computer. Do I have to host them somewhere else?

I think you can add an attachment to a blog on FAA and then post the blog link?

Thanks Warren. I don't use the blog section though.

If you want to start a discussion, there will be an "upload image" box under the place where you type the message. Don't believe this works for replying to messages though. (If I understood the question right)

I just use Photobucket and post the html link.

if you don't want it to be for sale you just don't put any prices in the price boxes.

I have a "not for sale" passworded gallery where I upload stuff that I want critiques on or to post here in the forums. If you put a password on the gallery and only click on that gallery when you upload the image, only you will see it when you're logged in, but you can share it. If you want people to take a closer look at it, you can just post the password.

I don't put anything in there I wouldn't want anyone to see, so I share my password freely when I upload something I need help with so people here can look at it closer, but the general public doesn't see it.

There is a way to do it within the forums.. you need to know your way around html..which I don't. this link may hold the answer. If not, ask Jeff the mod! good luck :-)

you can post your photos on flickr first and use their link to post here. You can open a free account there.
