I Should Read More Carefully Lol

Tonight, I check my sale and realized I sold two cards but the amount was $50 each! Why anyone would pay $50 for a card? Did I make a mistake on pricing? I check but there was no mistake. I check again on that sale, it was two packs of cards not two cards!
I should read more carefully, LOL.

I don't sell much cards and usually just one at a time. I was not expecting two packs!

Congratulations, Alfred. When I started here, I had my single cards priced at 20 cents. I thought "who buys only one card?" LOL, about 4 SINGLE card sales later, I figured it was time to up my prices....

Good going, Alfred - never sold more than one at a time myself, but your work lends itself beautifully to cards as well as prints.

Congrats. I've sold two packs in the past. Makes one wonder if FAA should offer a larger box. If people need cards for wedding invites or for some event it would make sense to offer a large run.

I upped mine to 5 profit per single card. Much less on multiples.

I recently sold 2 packs - a pack of 10 and one of 30. That was my only card sale, ever

I'm dying to know what someone from Texarkana is using 30 cards with the Tower of Pisa w/flowers for. I wonder if they added text. I always wished the buyers would give us feedback after they receive the prints.

Sweet....

Yeah, I open sales notices from time to time and see a card sale. I am happy with any sale but it is the lowest net I can have for a sales email. Opened one once and it said I sold a card. cool but then I read on and found I sold 300 of that card. So, what would normally be my lowest net is still the second highest net for any single image/single sale email I have got.

Congrats

Thanks so much everyone!
Melany, I don't question the reason why some images sold any more. One of my card sale was a smashed up bus after a major accident perhaps was intended for a bus driver.

I only wish I had Alfred's "reading" problem

I think the greeting cards could be nice for some situations where you might want many copies. Informal wedding announcements, or other event invitations, and so on. Not to mention Christmas and other holiday cards. So "bulk" sales must certainly happen from time to time. I'm glad to see some of you reporting success in this area.

I have sold a few cards and a few boxes. I keep the prices low. When I sold cards in the past before FAA I got call backs for larger sizes. I look at them as marketing pieces. Maybe one of the people who receive the card will see the name and FAA web address on the back and buy something.

That's reminded me when I was a young art student visiting museums in New York city, I spent over a hundred dollar on post cards on the artists' works I admire. I still have and treasured them.
