Ok This Is Bizarre...i Found Him But...

Wow this is so weird. Yesterday I got an email from a photographer named Brad reminding me that it had been a while and he had not been featured yet. So I went to my folder where I move every email that comes in for a feature...and I didn't see him previously. So I moved his new email there. I could see in the email that we had communicated.

This morning I get up to set up his feature and his email is not in the folder. So I go to sent email....NOTHING. No evidence that I communicated. So weird....

The only thing I can figure is there must be a virus in the communication and my virus scanner is removing????

BRAD...if you are seeing this....please try to email me from a different email address....I'm sorry your feature isn't up today as I promised...but you vanished.

I just found him in the trash file.....Why? I didn't put him there....anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

Spooky that this happened twice and only with the same person... perhaps it is something to do with the email account he is writing from

Is the email domain, one of the big, old ad-supported ones? I have my spam filters set to automatically flag email from yahoo and hotmail accounts. They have been known as a haven for spammers. :(

Due to so many databases being compromised Adobe,TJ Max come to mind so many artist data is compromised as well. Just in the last month I had to re-set my password and close one e-mail all together due to breaches. My host is the one who flagged the breach. A few month back a fellow photographer tried to hijack my website. It is not illegal as of yet. Something needs to be done. Be very careful to what you click in your e-mails. Had I not noticed something was off I could have agreed to giving that photographer my long time web domain (20+ year) by simply clicking.

Yes it was a hassle and very upsetting. I had just re-designed the site and was about to start my 2014 advertising when it happen. What upset me more this was a pro photographer I respected. We have put some things in place so this could not be so easily done. With all those data-breaches and hacks we need to be very aware of what is going on with our own data. Glad you found the info you needed.
