the 1949 Chevys have a grill that from the side look like Cadillacs. (I have a 1949 Cadillac.) The give away, though, is the hood emblem and the fenders. The Olds, on the other hand, had a rounded grill, not a modified egg crate and is distinctly different from the side. The hood emblems for the Chevy and Cadillac at that time both had the "winged" bottom with the Chevy bow or the Cadillac crest. This appears to have the "wings". The Olds had the circle like thing with a ring around it, resembling Saturn.
