Deciding The Price For Prints

Hi,
I am new here. So hello all. ..
I was wondering, after uploading an image and deciding the prices for different sized prints; ... who pays for the cost of making the prints ? How is that figured out ?
If say, .... I ask for $50 for a particular size print, and I am paid that, when it sells; where and how does the print cost get covered?

thanking in advance for any replies,

Rafael

That "About" tab at the top of the page is really helpful. Includes a handty FAQ!

FAA makes their money on the production side. The framing, matting, canvas, etc. etc.

After you load a few images and put you price in, you will see it. If you want $50 for a 24x36 for instance, they will sell it at a mark up form that price and then make money even on the paper they print it on.

You will get $50 plus 5% of what ever the framing the customer buys. You don't have any costs. You net $50 no matter if they frame it, buy it on canvas, a metal plate. You get the same $50 plus that small commission on the materials sold.

To echo Floyd,

Just add in what YOU want to receive for each size, FAA will add their mark-up which is what the customer will see and pay.

Thanks Floyd,
Kind of a brilliantly simple way to market.
Joseph I have been reading the "about" pages. They are very helpful.

Is there a rough percentage, FAA marks up ?

Basically FAA has their set price based on size medium and material coices. Then your mark up is added in plus a little extra. After you do one you can see clearly. If you are logged in you won't see your mark up added on the prices. But you will see under the price "Show Price details". That will break it all down for you. If you are logged out you see what the public sees.
