Robin Williams

Whats your favorite Robin William movie. I liked "Good Morning Vietnam" though I haven't seen too many of his films.

My favorite is "Dead Poets Society"

I thought he was really good in his more serious rolls like in Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting.

What Dreams May Come. Come to think of it, I loved everything that he was in. Without a doubt, one of my favorite actors.

I think I heard correctly on the news that he three finished films in the can that haven't been released yet.

One Hour Photo - I think that's what it was called - haven't seen it for a long time, will have to watch it again! Quite a dark film

I love Dead Poet's Society. Mrs. Doubtfire was a staple on family movie night when my kids were little.

Mr.s Doubtfire, Moscow on the Hudson, and, believe or not, Popeye. The visuals in that one were just fantastic. I loved his new show, The Crazy Ones. It was an intelligent comedy. I would turn off CBS when the 2 preceding shows would come on then make it a point to catch it. Very disappointed it was cancelled, yet those 2 other infantile "comedies" were continued. On the last show, Pam Dawber made an appearance as a former flame; the show could have had a few good seasons as it was just getting to the point of understanding the characters.

Oh, forgot about Garp! "We're safe now. Nothing can hurt us", after the plane flew into the house and Garp decides it'd be a good buy on the premise that lightning never strikes twice. Terrific movie.

"Awakenings" really got to me ... his performance had such amazing depth and love and heart-breaking caring ...

Good Will Hunting and Mrs. Doubtfire.

And Louise I agree with you ... I missed The Crazy Ones more than I saw it ... it wasn't on my radar but I kept meaning to watch it. I was really shocked when it was cancelled. Maybe Robin didn't want it to continue ... ??

Just watched the Happy Day's episode that he was in, such a comedic genius.

Loved them all but never tire of watching Popeye. Still cracks me up.

I love Robin, he made me laugh so many times and no one can replace what he does with his talent. We all are going to miss him but his memories will live on.

He was really good in an episode of "Law & Order: SUV" and I believe he may have also been in one of the first "Homicide: Life on the Street" episodes. I never caught "The Crazy Ones" either. Meant to watch it, but I missed the first few episodes and then by then it wad getting mixed reviews at best. As far as moves, I liked "Awakenings."

The Fisher King, hands down. I've seen it more times than I can remember.

I haven't seen all his movies but The World According to Garp would probably be my favorite.

all I can say is nicest guy ever, funniest guy ever, I came across him at a fundraiser in Santa Monica, CA and I laughed so hard that I could barely take a picture - sad to see him go so suddenly

Some years ago, a friend of mine showed me a picture he'd taken outside his home. In the picture was Robin Williams. I was aghast, of course, and asked how THAT happened. My friend told me that Robin happened to be visiting my friend's neighborhood (apparently it was where he'd grown up), and was strolling down the sidewalk, and my friend saw him and asked if he could take a picture. Robin said "Sure" and that was that. I remember that Robin was smiling, and looked a lot like he did in "Dead Poet's Society" (longish hair). I hope that friend of mine still has that picture. What an heirloom that'll make.

it's hard to say, I never seen one that disappointed me.

I think as Danny mentioned, "One Hour Photo" - which wasn't advertised much I don't think - was really a creepy movie and he played a nut job really well in that one. You truly believed he was off his rocker (and in a very subtle way, not like the manic comedy he did). And "Awakenings"

Sad this is. Here in Oz there are outcries about the publication and news conferences from police, in USA, being too detailed about his choice of method.
It's something never published here.....big difference in attitude......Privacy overcomes the 'need to know' here, and is respected.

Wow, so many to choose since he had a long film career . . .

I'd have to say for laughs definitely The Birdcage. I loved The Fisher King - Good Morning Viet Nam - Awakenings - Dead Poet's Society - Good Will Hunting.
This is like Lays potato chips - I cant pick just one.

His voice overs in Aladdin were perfect.

One of those actors with so many "faces"....for being perfectly candid...I just love to watch every single one of his movies...choosing one is impossible but the first ones that cross my mind right now is "Mrs Doubtfire" and "Dead Poets Society"...my timeless fav is "Hook" & "Alladin"...Still hard to believe what happened...;(
