Publishing A Blog

So I just published my 1st blog post ever taking another step toward building my Evil Empire of dreamers and pacifists. Please take a look and of course share it with everyone you know. I welcome any and all feedback regarding the format, content, links and gadgets or just the art itself. This is all still very new to me and I appreciate your time and thoughts. Thank you!

Hard to believe that is your first blog post ever. You did an outstanding job with the narrative and illustrations. I read it with interest and left a comment.

I really like the overall look and feel of your new blog, Joe. Congratulations!

Be warned that building a blog audience can be slow to start, and involves getting the word out (like you've done here -- but more!), posting solid content on a regular basis, and interacting with other blogs and bloggers. Your art business con only benefit, if you hang in there.

Increase visibility and interaction by posting notices of new blog entries to Twitter, FaceBook, G+, and other social media outlets. There are two discussion threads here (usually found within the first few pages of the forum) where you're invited to add a link every time you have a new blog post. Using the Forum search box, above, will show you lots of threads on the ins and outs of blogging.

You're off to a wonderful start, Joe -- best of luck!

PS -- Guess I'll take my own advice tonight and post something! Oh . . . and fix my broken subscription box . . . ;-)

Thanks for being my 1st blog comment, Bill. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you as well, Wendy. I think that's what I worry about the most is feeling like I have to continually refresh it. I understand the importance of reminding the audience you're here but I'd much prefer to publish only when I have new and interesting material ready. It seems to me that Twitter and Facebook are the proper forums for constant noise making.
