Airshows always make me nervous. At least one plane crashes every summer.

These guys would make me very nervous!

I wonder if they have trouble getting insurance?

Great post. Thanks. I love air shows and have seen quite a few over the years but have never seen a night version. I also fly small planes but not to the extremes shown in that clip. LOL

While it may be true that we lose at least one airshow pilot every year, there are several people die EVERY DAY from texting while driving. But people still text behind the wheel. :(

Oh man! You'd really have to be an adrenaline junkie to do some of those stunts. One time the Canadian Snowbirds did a 45-minute free show while we were waiting for the ferry next to their training grounds in Comox, British Columbia. It was jaw-dropping but really did make me nervous at times. That reminds me, I still haven't processed the dozens of photographs I took that day.

Not crazy at all, Sydne. Airshow pilots are well-practiced experts. While there are occasional accidents, their maneuvers are not as dangerous as they appear. I really love jet demonstration teams, like the Navy's Blue Angels or Air Force Thunderbirds:

Most of them are veteran fighter pilots, many still on active duty. Only the best are selected for demonstration teams, and eventually rotate back to combat status.
