Sell Art Online

Hi matthew I think this one is neat how you got the wave so close

in a nut shell, you upload images, place prices of what you want to get, advertise your here, image wise they are all kind of crooked and really not my cup of tea. i won't say more than that because you didn't ask for an actual critique.

you'll need a lot more keywords and a description, some of the images are quite small like the one above. you'll want a description that is more than - the watermark won't appear.

Hi Matthew. I'm sure one of our moderators will be along shortly to give you new member and selling information.

Regarding your pictures, many are flawed. All have tilted horizons, and most are not distinctive. The competition level here is extremely high when it comes to photo sales. Ask yourself who your buyer might be and who would want to hang any particular image on their wall. Also, you'll need a lot more than nine images to be successful here. Most photographers who sell regularly have hundreds or thousands.

Also, your avatar (the first thing people see) may not show you in the best light. Consider a head shot rather than the dog or cat (I can't tell) and blurry foot.

i think it's a dog, it's too big to be a cat. but the pose is the same either way. though cats like chairs.

that's all i know about cats. oh wait, some like lasagana.

I am constantly having to watch my levels to make sure I am level as I also tend to lean to the right. I wonder if that is the case for some folks that are left handed. Do they lean to the left more than to the right?

I have always been at least half-bubble off to the right LOL! @Matthew, listen, learn, and practice you will do fine :)

Hi Matthew, good luck, ive been on here since 6:30am and I just got one image uploaded, and no one will respond to any questions I have

i brace with my left, i'm right handed, and they all lean to the right. but that's what editing is for, drop a rule, use the measure tool to straighten, a few ways.

@terri, i only saw one thread with your flower in it and it was a statement more than a question.

True but I find it best to get it correct in camera that way one less concern when editing. It isn't as obvious in some photos but as the case with the OP when sky meets the land or water it can be way noticeable.

yes mike it was a statement, just telling matthew good luck on getting started, cause of the problems I have been having, btw, love your avatar, very interesting

welcome to FAA Mathew.

Another welcome to FAA, Matthew. Pay heed to Murray and Mike above. They are not only talented photographers, but are also very experienced on this site. Take some time to view recent sales and find those photographers that produce a high level of work. Look into online tutorials, college classes, and workshops to help improve your photography. And keep in mind that although some of the comments in this forum may seem a little blunt, there is always something to be learned. You just have to develop somewhat of a thick skin.
