What Would You Choose?

I'm getting a metal print for a show i want to do and would like to know your opinion on what piece you would choose?
either a large print of this,
Art Prints
or a 3 piece print of this,
Art Prints
not sure what would sell better?

I like the three! Very impressive and dramatic display.

If you have room for the three panel version the sheer size is stunning (the art is too!). Cover a wall with that piece and you are going to get noticed!

Good choice for the framing, contemporary, beautiful and different since many have not seen the metal surface.

I was just thinking many galleries have black walls, if you could cover your wall surface black that would enhance this work and your other artwork, making it even more the focus. I think this piece deserves a solid background to let it give the impact that only a three panel can deliver.

I was recently in a large interior design store near my home and they had many large art prints some of them were the three panel triptychs, spectacular!

Wow, for the three of them displayed!

I think the triptych is going to sell some art for you! Is there a way for you to have samples of your other artwork that looks good in a triptych to be available for buyers to view at the show?

Thank you for the comments. It looks like the triptych is the way to go.
Suzanne, I have split some of my art in two panels, but I need to go back through and see if there are any others I can make triptych out of.
Thank you!

I have had some time to think about my comment. It could depend on how large your space is. In a smaller space you may want to use the single version as the triptych may be too large (if it is the large sizes I have seen are about the length of a medium sized couch and 41/2 to 5' high) and not be seen properly in a cramped space, overpowering all your other work and taking a major amount of space.

If you can go smaller in a small space that would work. You are the best judge, just something to consider.

You also may want to have (i'm thinking for myself also!) a notebook with quality copies of your work cut into triptyches mounted on the heaviest card stock (Walmart the best price for card stock $5.99 a pack as opposed to $20, use spray glue or heavy duty dry stick glue to adhere) under non-glossy plastic leaves.

One print could be made and then cut on a guillotine cutter (makes the cleanest cut, libraries have these to use, OfficeMax $35 for their generic very good quality cutter, don't go any cheaper because they don't work!).

I really like that triptych.

"Wow" on both but that triptych looks killer.

You may want to consider using this one at a show if you haven't already if the triptych works out for you. It has lovely muted colors with grey being a popular color right now.

A friend once told me, "If you are trying to make a statement, then MAKE A STATEMENT! Don't make them look for it." The triptych makes a statement. Beautiful!

I like 3 but it seems everyone is doing that now. Is it a fad? Would be my question. With that said for the long haul I would pick the single.

Suzanne, thank you for the suggestion on "strange Clouds" this would work well as a triptych and I haven't considered it. will be adding it to the collection.

You are welcome Ryan. Wish you the best in your show!
