Cost And Pricing

I'm interested in getting on board but having a bit of a problem locating the costs of materials such as acrylic and metal prints. Can someone point me in the right direction? I can't price my work without knowing my costs. Thanks in advance.

Edward,

Simply enter the price you want to receive when products sell. Fine Art America marks up the final cost to the customer, which is what gets displayed.

there are no costs, you don't spend anything. enter your price in each box, the item will be marked up that much higher and that's all. no money out of pocket from you.

I buy my material on line and can get an good price for material. Trust me materials are minimal cost compared to your personal time. I recently heard a recommendation that I like. Find a comparable competitive artist at your skill level and research their prices in the same market you are in. Then calculate the cost of their artwork by the square inch. That way you can determine how to price your artwork by size. Establish a high , medium and low price range and determine where you want to be based on your skill level and market.

Thanks very much for your quick response with the information I needed guys, I really appreciate it!
