What Michelle said. I just did this last week. I bought a domain name on namecheap.com for like $10-15 a year (aaronspong.com) then followed their instructions on how to redirect it to the artist website. The process was much simpler than I thought it would be. Hope this helps!

I do have another question on this as I went to Go Daddy and can purchase my domain. Do I also need the web hosting with them or just the domain name?

You do not need web hosting if you just want to go straight to your artist website. You only do the web hosting if you want to build your own site from scratch.

I too use my domain name daricemachel.com for my artistwebsites. It makes everything easier for me.

Yes, you can change the name and Abbie can do that for you ... then it would sync with all the other domans: FineArtAmerica, Pixels, InstaPrints, etc.

If you buy a domain make sure you forward it to your AW instead of masking it, you need to leave open the padlock feature for the shopping cart to work properly ... many of my customers mention they look for that. Also, my domain provider sends me a referral link for domains like a buck for the first year. If you'd like it let me know and I'll look for it and post it.

Yes, I have my domain name with GoDaddy also. I did not use their web-hosting and simply forwarded my domain to my FAA artist website url. It was very easy to do.

I bought my domain name from godaddy as well.

It's easy to set up the forwarding.

www.anginavick.com is much shorter for advertising.

Ok I just ordered my domain from Go Daddy and will now need to know how to forward the domain to FAA. I know it is probably so easy. Yes Angelina I do agree, so much shorter and nicer than what we get from FAA.
