Are These Abstracts?

I have just gotten back from an amazing trip to Guatemala.... no sickness! While there, I took tons of photos and many different types of photos. Here is one (three) of them.... Are they abstracts? I really wanted to make these a series because I loved all three edits of them and I couldn't decide which one to post :) So I settled with all three! Enjoy and thanks in advance for the responses!

Shelby,

I looked up abstract art, here's a Wiki link for you. Perhaps this will help explain it better.

"Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world." From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your photographs are grounded in reality with perspective, depth, and easily recognized subject matter. About as far from abstraction as you can get.

abstract would be something you can no longer recognize. i can see that is a shot of a hallway, something you might find in a ghost hunters collection. i find abstract can be just about anything, but it has to usually be out of place. like a play of shadows using odd shapes and a light source. drop the mayonaise on the floor and remove the jar. that's abstract.

Thank you all for your comments... I was only curious bc, yes it does have a distinct subject, however the placement of the object the the light coming through the "window" on the right makes it seem more abstract to me.

Shelby you have lovely work great capture, but to me its not abstract,
Mikes explanation is correct,
l find abstract is looking through something thats fuzzy, its unique art,
all the best Shelby with your photography
