Artist Collaboration.

This is a 12x16 canvas I've painted on for years. It has a lot of texture on it. One night I realized the balance was off. I primed everything around the "Fire Face" and was going to start over. The more I looked at the white canvas with the "fire face" on it the more I wanted to take it in a totally different direction. I've asked several artist if they wanted to add to it. I was thrilled when they said they would love to add to it. It cost me $8.50 to send it to the first artist. She'll add to it and send it to the next artist. This is going to take at least a year to complete. This will cost you time and money to add to this. If you want to add to this FAA e-mail me.

I like the concept here Steve.. I'm in the U.K. though so not practical for me to join in! Maybe you will think about doing a digital version of this in the future :-)

Barry I did a digital version of this idea with EPIC 25.

This was the result.

This is taking it to the next level,, actually send a canvas to a artist that wants to add to it.

This is cool! Such a unique idea. My college roommate art majors and I did something like this years ago. We had a big paper on the living room table and each of us would add to it whenever we felt like it. The final product was crazy. I wish I still had a picture of it.

Great work Steve! I worked with over a half a dozen artist several years ago on multiple animations projects. It's great way to get to know people and network with the larger art community :-)

Aaron. I was in the army in 1979 and we did the same thing. We had a ten inch wide roll of paper. It ended up being a scroll. Roll it out write on it and it went into the scroll,, I agree I wish I could see that again.
Drew,, It's fun on so many levels. I wish it was my turn,,lol I have a dozen ideas. I've wrote down a few of them just to see if any of the artist see the same thing I see.

I just checked out the thread I posted. That was a year later. The one I was involved in was a blast. It was so much fun ArtWanted deleted it. I'm still banned from AW,,lol.

@ Steve: I know just about every artist in that roast you posted a link to. by 2009 I had already became non active at AW do to my film production. My daughter any I were down in south Florida a few months ago and we had lunch with the Karchners. yes they are really nice people and Denny truly paints that good:) Hopefully we will do some promotional work together in the future.
Leo Da's Artistic Promotion was a philanthropic organization I put together to promote both known and unknown artist. several artist I worked with have became successful artist in their own right. When I went back to AW's forums, they were a ghost-town.
In 2013 I retired from the electric utility that serves NE Florida and formed Verrocchio's Workshop, LLC.
I do remember you from those pre- Face Book pre- You-Tube days. many AW artist went to red bubble and facebook. I don't care for either format so I landed here mostly for the forums. Most of my professional activity is conducted on my personal site and Linkedin. FAA's forums are definitely better moderated and you know who the hell the moderators are. the trolls are quickly eliminated and the diatribes that so pledged AW are few and far between.
BTW, I only got slapped on the wrist here and was banned for about 12 hours I think. Heheheh LOL! thatz pretty dam good for me. Only thing I would change here is let the photographers have there own forum section and have the rest battle it out under a traditional/digital art section.
