Weekly Suggestion For The Week 7-28-2014

This is not an image/artwork posting thread please DO NOT add those here.

Abbie's rules apply....Limit ''ONE'' Suggestion per person per week.
If you add more than that per week it will not be sent in. (Per Abbie's request).


Once a week's thread closes I email Abbie the list. This thread is for her, it is not
my thread. I am just a helper to get the list to her on or about once a week.


Please ''DO NOT'' disrespect the owner (Sean) in this thread. These are Suggestions and NOT Demands.



Running list of things that will ''NOT'' be changing

The ''BIG SKIP'' is staying.

The ''Image Size'' on the the ''Artist Website'' will be not changing.


Replies to other suggestions:

Concerning the Artist Website matching the other site options
That is the point of the premium account that it is different.
(This is in reply to a request to make the AW site look the
same as FAA Pixels and Designer Prints profiles.)

For The Originals option on the uploads just leave that info blank if you do not sell originals.

Verbiage located on the Contact Us page is as follows:

Customer Service is for buyers with questions about new and existing orders.
Technical Support is for members with technical questions about using the site.

Who should existing members be contacting when they have questions about accounting/billing?

The above guidance is slightly confusing to some members.

remove bot counts from the view statistics and remove views from artist's bio area. let us see the real numbers.

Last night I received an email from a customer about one of my prints and It came from my stock images account. I was asked how they could order a 24 x 36 print.

I presume they did a search and the image came up from my stock images account before my Prints of Italy account. Stock images show up in FAA search with NO prices listed! Since we cannot add links in our descriptions, they not only don't know what licenses are available, but have no way of knowing prints are also available.

I wonder how many customers don't even bother emailing the artist or FAA. This means lost sales for the Artist and FAA!!


Sure am glad the customer contacted me and hope they place an order now that I've given them a link to my print. :)


Please allow us to add links to our descriptions! Or a button/link stating "for prints please click here" added to images for licensing!

i would like a check box when i edit if an image is not for sale ever. so when i adjust prices they aren't filled back in again. and on that same note i want the opposite, if i have blank prices or decide to sell it, and all the boxes are blank, a button to fill the blanks back in with my defaults will make things easier.

I would love a drag and drop feature to move images around...at least in the galleries.

I would like to see a switch from set prices to percentages. I find that on other sites it is actually much easier to set your prices that way. And you do not have to worry about any adjustments for size or factors.

I know it's been mentioned before, but it doesn't get a lot of traction because everyone's renewal date is different.

For two years in a row, my AW (where I refer most of my traffic through my own marketing efforts) has been suspended for a few hours because of the automatic renewal not going through. Last time, it was because I cancelled a credit card and forgot it was the one on file here. This year, it was because my CC company issued me a new card after fraudulent charges appeared on my card.

It would be extremely helpful if FAA could send out a renewal reminder a week or so before the automatic renewal. This would give us time to double check our credit card information on the site and avoid the downtime. Since the renewal is automatic, it seems to me that an automatic reminder would not be difficult to set up.

My renewal got rejected at 5am my time. I didn't find out about it until after 7am. My AW was down for over two hours, needlessly. One little auto-reminder email and it could have been avoided.
