Missing Or Invisible Contests

I'm pretty active on FAA, and I've noticed that sometimes there are contests with voting in progress, or have recently ended, that I NEVER saw... This was confirmed after I had gotten e-mails about new contests that weren't showing up on the main contests list.
Is anyone else having this issue, or is this more of an isolated event?

some open up for a day or less - called a flash contest. maybe it's that. or maybe you have lost time, and you were on an alien ship?

I thought that might be the case at first, but some of the contests run for days, and never show up on the main list.

The alien ship/time traveling might be a possibility... ;-)

Would love to do some time traveling, especially if we could go into the past, would love to meet some figures in History.

Personally have not entered that many contests or started my own but will start and watch to see if some never show up.
