Attention Western And Native American Artist

I sell a lot of western art images both here on FAA and on many of my other sites. I also have dealerships or direct agreements with several western/Native American artist.

To be honest with you some if not most of the W/NA art that is right here on FAA is as good as any of the big name higher profile artist. And of course a few of them are right here on FAA.

With that in mind, I have stated a new group on Facebook for anyone selling and buying W/NA art.

I believe we can leverage the names of those higher profile artist to attract at least a portion of their fan base to our group to the mutual benefit of all that chose to participate.

I will be adding images of some of the most famous western artists from out history, including Charles Russell, Frederic Remington and modern day artist such as G. Harvery, David DaVAary, Andy Thomas, Martin Grelle, Karen Noles, Bruce Greene, Nancy Cawdry, Jack Sorsenson and many others.

You may have never heard of some of these artist But all of these people have a huge fan base and are highly searched names on Google and all of the other search engines. I know this for a fact because I see the back tracking data from the Google results on my other webpages where I sell these images.

This group will allow both artist (of all medium) and non-artist alike. I am hoping to attract members that are W/NA lovers and buyers. Some of the largest groups on FB are western lovers. But they do not allow direct adverting to be posted. I have made contact with the administrator some of these groups and have arranged tentative approval to be able to share some images with links back to the a page where there the piece can be bought. I don't know how long these arrangement will last but that really does not mater if we are able to draw a large enough membership of our own.

Of course many of you already belong to some or all of the western groups I am talking about and any sharing or cross promoting you can do via the group, will help extend the reach and exposure for all group members.

The group is called Western Art Buyers & Sellers and the link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403150156590398/

I have several ideas of how to promote the group which in the future may include paid ads on Twitter, Facebook, and maybe other sources.

I hope you will consider joining the group and participating. The image in the header is the same as the one I posted here and will let you know you are in the right group. :-)

WOW! Only 28 people even bothered to open this thread. I find that amazing considering how many people are always looking for new exposure.

I know this idea will get us that exposure. I don't know for sure it will lead to sales but first thing is you have to get you artwork seen.

I promoted a couple of images on the new page just to have content as we are getting up and running. I posted the image below and with in 10-15 minutes it had been shared 3 times. That is really something considering we only have 16 members.

This is an idea that if used properly will get your artwork see by more people. And if we can attract the western fans, they are the right people!

Ad mentioned above, there are two huge western groups and a dozen or more smaller ones on Facebook so there are western fans out there looking for anything western.

We just have to get our artwork in front of enough of them.

If you stop buy and even if you decide this is not for you, I would appreciate your feed back if you would be kind enough to leave it.

Thank you.

Also keep in mind that even if we grew to several hundred or even several thousand, you would still be in a much, much smaller pond then the 150,000 members of FAA. And we are going to be targeting in on western fans.

This is group working people. I just sold a Karen Noles S/N limited edition print from a shared group post.

The buyer emailed me and bought the print and I sent her a PayPal invoice and she paid it.

What can I say... it is working....

So, now that I've joined the group can I actually post a link to my native art?

Here's the rules that are on the right side of the group page.

This group is for people that love western and Native American art. All western artists, photographers, sculptures, western art lovers, carvers, collectors and buyers are welcome!

You most diffidently post your art for sale and you can most diffidently buy something if you wish.

If you post non-western art it will more than likely be rejected. Please follow this rule so I don't have to change it to where I have to approve each post.

Please keep in mind that everyone that loves Western/Native American art is welcome to join. But only those that are actually selling W/NA art can post images. Again, please honor this rule so I do not have to approve every post.

Everyone that joins is asked and expected to allow all image posted to be displayed on your FB page. We also ask that you take the time to like, comment and share some of the other images of other sellers. And of course, we hope they will do the same for you. That is how we broaden our reach and everyone gets more exposure.

Please feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions.

The idea is pretty simple. Every one that joins has a facebook page with x amount of friends.

Everyone should be allowing the post in the group to be seen on their FB page. Every one is asked and expected to like and share the work of the people posting in the group. Most people already belong to any number of groups. We ask that you share as many of the member's images to those groups. There are dozens of groups that anyone can join. There are several art oriented groups but I do not limit myself to only the art groups. The print I sold this morning actually came from a share I made with a garage sale. I belong to a group that is about horses and gear for anything that has to do with horses. Several of the members in there are western art lovers and they share every thing I post.

Also consider related groups to the kind of art you sell. Anything western for instance for western art.

Please keep in mind that in the Western Art Sellers & Buyers we only want western art posted. Anyone can join and make comments, like and share images. But only western art sellers should be posting. We are allowing the artist themselves, of course, but we are also allowing galleries and artist representatives. We are doing that, hopefully, to attract some of the higher profile, famous named artist that do not market their own work.

I have several high profile artist that I an a dealer for through the print franchises I have and direct arrangements with the artists themselves. I am posting those images as well. The idea is to hopefully level those higher profile names to assist in search.

Keep in mind that there is also a new group for FAA members only. Same principal but limited to members of FAA and no limit on the type of art you sell. If you have western art you can post it in both groups by posting it in one and then just sharing it with the other.

I upload all of my images to my own FB page and then I share them with what ever groups I chose to.

If you do not want the group posts flowing on you personal web FB page, I suggest you open a FB page that you use strictly for business. I would let your friends and relatives what you are doing and invite them to join the new page. After that I would try to friend people that may be art buying prospects. Personally I don't care what my friends and relative want or don't want to see on my FB page. It is MY FB page. lol

But the big exposure is going to be via groups. My total reach for all of the members of all of the groups is well over 1 Million people.

Go to the thread on the FineArtAmerica group and read the post there.
