Twitter Hack

If you were one of the folks following me on Twitter (@InletBill), I need to apologize. Although I seldom used it, it seems i was hacked. You may have gotten a "direct message" from me telling you about a way to increase your follower number. DON'T DO IT! IT IS A SCAM! Every sleezebag and scumball will become your "follower" - Just lovely! I could not figure out a way to "undo" it all so I have deactivated my Twitter account. I will probably re-establish a new one soon. Again, if you got any of these "direct messages" they weren't really from me and DO NOT do what they ask. Sheeesh........

thanks for the warning....scamming is the new bothersome crime...it's odd when you now know someone who hasn't been scammed on the internet or over a credit card.

Did you contact Twitter? Changing your password is the first thing to do if one has

not deactivated it. But make sure you contact Twitter. This happens all the time sad

to say. Twitter needs to figure something out to stop more of these. Some folks get

hacked more than once. And sometimes they access your time line sending out

Tweets now too for the entire world to see. That happened to someone I followed twice.

Not on Twitter! Closed it. Too time-consuming, for me, anyhow.....nice not to be scammed indeed.

i've been getting the you have an urgent private message on facebook message as of late. it did fool me once, the page was blank, i assume one my levels of protection stopped it. i should know better, facebook doesn't really remind you about missed mail.

Mike, I received the email from FB just yesterday, stating that if I didn't respond to some unread messages they would soon be deleted. That info was basically in the subject line, so I didn't have to open it to read it. Deleted w/o opening thank goodness.
