Kite Strings

Should I leave them in or not. Not a big dilemma but I don't think they enhance the photograph at all. What would the majority do. (Please see attached) When Fish Can Fly.

the main issue is, if there is no person holding the string, then it's not a kite, just a fish on a background. with the strings you know it's a kite, i'm in the middle. while the strings are distracting, at least you know it's a kite. i suppose for clarity i would remove the strings.
