Search Engine

When I go to the FAA home page and do a search for photographs of subject matter in my galleries they don't seem to show up. Specifically when I have entered "Eiffel Tower" (looking for my picture titled "Eiffel Tower Sunset.") it doesn't show up. Nor, even when I put in the full title "Eiffel Tower Sunset" Any idea why?

You do not have either of those terms in your keywords. You have Eiffel and you have Tower and you have Sunset but you don't have "Eiffel Tower Sunset" nor "Eiffel Tower".

I just tried again. When I entered the entire title "Eiffel Tower Sunset" it did show up this time. But, not when I entered just "Eiffel Tower."

It was my understanding that all key words needed a comma after each word. Is this wrong?

If you want a phrase or more than one word as a keyword such as a title of an image or your name ie you would place "Lawrence Boothby" not Lawrence,Boothby

Though I think with the search feature now one can search for Artist + keywords or just artist so not sure how important it is now to still have name in keywords. Then again it never hurts to add it, singe, plural, locations, phrases and the like that match an image.

Hi Lawrence.. the subject of the FAA search engine comes up often. There are plenty of threads pertaining to this subject. Here's a link to one which I started that may be of some use to you.
Good luck :-)

the search is sorted by how often you sell and by popularity. those terms are pretty dense, i would assume.

You do NOT have to have the exact phrase you are searching for in your keywords to show in the search but having the exact phrase will affect where in the search you show.
