It's too bad FAA didn't make some sort of FAQ or a web page to tell us all of this.

LOL

Very well! lol

You register, you add your paypal email to you account, FAA sends the money you earn to your paypal account. It works very well.

First check is 30 day delay to account for returns. After that it is the 15th each month like clockwork.

Paypal sends the money directly to the bank account you set up with them when you click withdraw...maybe they will send a check too...not sure~

PayPal receives the FAA payment to me, then it's kept at my a/c at PayPal. When I spend over the money/balance in paypal, they debit my Visa a/c .......

.THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY BANK A/C.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only my Visa A/C

Which means, I do NOT have paypal credit or debit my bank account, so, the money just sits at paypal/my a/c............to use on other purchases.

That's how I do it, Vivian, for the most part. I use PayPal just for my photography stuff, although sometimes I do transfer some funds over to my "real" bank.

I guess it depends on how much you want to leave in your account...I would never spend as much as I usually have deposited each month from various POD and commission sales...but then, I'm not a shopper :)

Hi All,

Hope this helps, as I have never sold anything on FAA, being quite new (*cough* sure that's it, yes, quite sure...), I HAVE been selling on Amazon, who also pays via PayPal. I wasn't sure how that was going to work, but you MUST have a bank account set up with Pay Pal for it to work. Doesn't matter (I don't believe) if you set an account up using your bank's DEBIT card (which is also considered a charge card by many merchants) or if you set up checking/savings, using an account and routing number. The payment for any sales is seamless through Pay Pal. It goes right to your established checking/savings account on file.

If you don't have a bank account set up on Pay Pal, I'm not sure what would happen if you sold anything here. Anyone know?

They really ought to make this part err out if establishing a new account with FAA and FAA does not find a bank account set up via Pay Pal for you. Though, maybe they do, because a new member asked me why, when he just joined, there was a $1 (+/- up to $ .99) debit from his Pay Pal account from FAA. I didn't know what to say.

PayPal would only have a 1.00 charge taken (then refunded) if they used a PayPal card to purchase an account.

We do not take anything from accounts being paid into.

All we need is the PayPal email... This is the one used to log into PayPal.

How you withdraw money is entirely between yourself and PayPal and nothing to do with FAA

Go to WITHDRAW on your PayPal account to find out about having the money from PayPal to a bank. If you have any further queries about this you will need to speak to PayPal themselves who can help and are very nice.

Isabella - thanks for the reply - I also understand it better now - just one further question please (pardon my ignorance) - you mention "All we need is the PayPal email... This is the one used to log into PayPal." - upon one's first sale (must be a great feeling) will you THEN ask my PayPal email, or when? - or do I perhaps register it somewhere under my profile with fineart america?
Thanks and kind regards.

Andre,

You can enter your Paypal address at any time 'Behind the Scenes' for future payments.

Behind the Scenes > Accounting > Payment Information.

Andre - might want to poke around Behind the Scenes - EVERYTHING is back there and its best to familiarize yourself with all the buttons back there. (except the close account one of course!)

Thanks Heather - I've now checked it in more detail (should've done it in first place) and at least found the PayPal bit - I'll "tour" some more.
Thanks again - appreciated.
