A Way To Search Group Members?

Is there an easy way to find a particular member in your Group's member list? I have a couple members who repeatedly violate the rules of the group and I want to remove them. The member list appears to be sorted by date joined and I have no idea how long ago they joined. I don't see a way to just search their names. I don't really want to look through hundreds of members 1 by 1 to find their names.

That needs to be added to the suggestion list. We need an easier way to find those.

I notice there's a way to search the images by artist name. It seems like it would be simple enough, then, to add that search feature to the members list.

Send the an email and tell them to knock off the bull chit. But maybe not those words. Maybe they don't know they are breaking the rules.

If you post to groups via the upload, you can't possibly remember which allows one a day, one a week, one every theirs Wed of the month but only if two dogs are howling at a full moon.

Lot of different rules.

You found it Crista.

If you have trouble with those members let me know. I'm now the groups moderator. Send me a note in the admins. group threads or DM me.

Frank, that only shows me images from members I search, not the members themselves. Some members I want to delete don't have any images because I have rejected them. I host a group that's just for wildlife paintings and drawings. I clearly state no photography ..... multiple times in big bold letters ... in the rules. Yet I constantly get photographers joining and submitting photos, which I reject. Searching for members in the images does nothing for me in this case.

Floyd, if they don't have the time or decency to read the rules and see the very obvious "no photos" part, then I don't have the time or energy to contact each and every one of them directly and explain to them what they should have already read. I can understand when a group has a rule like "only 1 image per day" and they forget. I do let a lot of stuff slide because of that. I rarely boot anyone from the group. But when a photographer joins a "paintings only" group and immediately starts submitting a bunch of photos, it's obvious they just never read the rules, or they're blatantly ignoring them in order to get views. That's just lazy or inconsiderate, and I won't spend my time trying to educate them or teach them manners. I even state in the rules that if they repeatedly violate the rules they will be kicked out of the group. Should I have to repeatedly take time out of my day to sit down and have a personal chat with someone because they didn't read, or they ignored, the rules?

Also, searching the images by member name only allows me to delete the images anyway, not the actual member. When they continue to submit photos on a daily basis I don't want to just keep rejecting the images. I want to remove that member from the group so they can no longer submit them in the first place. It's just a waste of my time to reject their images endlessly. To remove them from the group I really need to be able to search the Members list, not the image list.

This is great news, Frank.

I painstakingly keep a list of violators of the terms of my group. I have sent multiple emails, and posted threads on my discussion page. All to little or no avail. And while I allow at least three violations before removing them, it is a great pain to search through the member list to find them in order to remove them.

And even them, some of them simply re-join the group.

I hope I don't have to bother you, but it is nice to know you are on the job.

That said, perhaps it would be useful to add the ability to view the members in alphabetical order.
