Why Can't I Post A Clickable Link?

I want to post the link to a sales announcement by copying from my browser window and I want it to be clickable. This usually works but tonight, though I have tried repeatedly, it does not. The link looks fine but is not clickable - it remains black and doesn't turn blue. I have this problem from time to time in group discussions and it's especially frustrating there because some threads REQUIRE that participants use this link rather than the link that generates the image. Why does it work sometimes and not others and what can I do when it isn't working? I use Firefox and closed that and re-opened. I have logged out of FAA and logged back in. Still have the problem. Does anyone else ever run into this? Does anyone know how to solve it?
