Advice Please ...

An artist (who claims to be on FAA) has sent me an email through FAA asking me all sorts of questions about my work (the nude) and how many sales I make and stuff like that. She says she paints horses. I would gladly answer her except she does not give her full name, so I can't find her here and only provides a personal email address. I am hesitant to give her my personal email address as I don't have a clue who she might be. However, I don't know how else to answer her questions (some of which were a bit odd). Any suggestions? Is there any way to find out who sends emails via FAA?

I'd probably suggest she come to the forums. You can say, "There are lots of people there including me who can answer any question you may have." If she keeps on, you can put her on a block list.

Joseph - She's sending mail via the email link in your profile rather than a PM through the internal system. Asking her to come to the forums forces her to reply via email thus giving away her personal email.

google her email address. You'll probably find her.
Or email her using an alternative email - I have more than one for such purposes, and getting junk mail.

that's the problem, Joseph. how do I connect with her unless I give her my personal email which I am hesitant to do. if I could contact her through FAA I would gladly answer her questions myself and then if she wanted more, I'd suggest the forums. but I am stuck. or maybe paranoid as I don't want to give her my email in case she is a stalker. I've had to deal with those before so fret about it. At the same time, I hate to be rude by not answering at all.

Carolyn - always a good idea to have a junk email address for these situations - readily available via gmail, yahoo or whatever. Takes 2 seconds to get one.

oh inspired, thanks Heather and google shall be my friend. what a good idea. i have junk email addresses but won't even give her that as even junk emails can tell people where you are if they explore enough. she sounded a bit unusual.
