How To Get Started In Selling Your Photographs?

Hi All,

I'm just starting out on FAA, and wanted some tips on how I attract buyers onto my profile.
The one thing I started today, is to participate in as many contests as I can.
Any other tips are appreciated!

Thanks,
Surpriya

you'll have to watch your copyright watermarks things, they may not print it because of that. anyway, the basics are - have lots of images that are eye catching. there are billions of flower shots so yours will have to be outstanding, you'll want descriptions. a bio, and a better avatar image, because its blurry and too small, people may not want to see the rest. you have to advertise out to other people and not rely on people finding you. because they won't find you. getting followers in twitter, facebook, etc, getting your links out - all that is needed. but mostly you need more images, with more variety, that other people may not have (while that horseshoe bend is nice, there are a 1000 others that look just like it, hard to be original on that one... maybe at night).

but mostly you have to bring them in.

Surpriya,

The best advise I can provide is, to say that you have to network and advertise yourself offsite. Business cards, cold-calling, social media presence, anywhere you can think of to attract clients. Interior decorators/designers, businesses remodeling, restaurant, doctors/dentists, etc.

Think outside the box on how you might find them.

Good luck.
