As Ed mentioned above, check out Alfred Ng. I think paper cutting art is beautiful and delicate - you and Alfred may actually have a corner on that medium here. I have not searched to find out.

You have some awesome images. I especially love the peacock. To answer your question about self promotion and not coming across as pretentious- just be yourself. By being yourself, people who like you will naturally follow you and you're not putting on an act. Just show them the real you, for better or for worse.
