I'm Not Getting Views????

I am new here, and am curious as to why I am not getting views. I realize there is a lot of stuff on the site, and it is easy to get lost in the mix. I would think that many would view the new stuff posted each day though, and that would produce some views. I don't have much listed, as my work takes much time to produce, but it is quite different, and I would think out of curiosity I would be getting some looks??? Would anyone care to critique??? Thanks Phil

Well, for one thing, having a description helps a great deal. Secondly, if you don't promote work it takes time for the various bots to notice you. Over all it's interesting work, and I suspect will sell well once it's noticed. I imagine the finished pieces weigh a great deal.

nope, new stuff is in the back and people that sell get first dibs. that's how it works on this site.

Sell Art Online
some of these thumbs look dark and well in this case, i'm not sure what the deal with the background is but it may not print, it looks blocky to me. people only spend a short time looking at things and it has to be noticed fast.

overall you don't have that many images here, a tiny amount in fact, a few don't have descriptions, some of the images appear dark.

you don't have a bio either. you have to do your own advertising. sending things to twitter, facebook and the like. you wan to join as many groups as you can that fit your work. and enter contests, show up in the forum like your doing etc.

there are millions of images here, and it's a store not a gallery, so people aren't usually just cruising around like they do on flickr, you have to bring people over to you. it's a lot of work.

I'd be very happy with fewer "bots," since I've never seen one result in a sale.

Unless you personally introduced each and every buyer to your art online the vast majority of your buyers came here due to bots. Bots are how the site gets indexed with the rest of the internet.

Tweet your images and you'll have instant views.

You've only been here since 4/9. Be patient and promote yourself here and outside of FAA.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I'm catching on a bit now and learning more about how the site works. It is very nice to get timely answers to questions, and you all are great. Phil
