Sad And Disappointed :(

Just had a chance to follow up on the sale that I had announced over the weekend that I made. Now I see that the sale was cancelled prior to shipping. Oh well, looks like the joke was on me. I think I will head home and drink a bottle of wine - forget the glass. Not that the money actually made a hill of difference, I just felt validated by the sale - now after the cancellation I feel violated.

Oh well......

Well think of it this way...you now have your first sale and your first return out of the way. You should still feel validated by the sale, no way to know what the reason for the return may be, but they obviously liked the work originally or it would not have been ordered. Chin up Melinda!

Melinda, my first return was reordered with 3 days; the second time it included mat, frame, etc. heres hoping for you.

I had two returned a couple of years ago. It's disappointing, but you'll bounce back. Don't let it get you down.

If that disappoints you, you should see how many orders get canceled at Zazzle.

Ugh. I am hoping they decided they wanted one much larger - & just have to measure.
Pass the bottle, we'll commiserate with you.

you can buy it at auction... still they may buy a bigger size.

Melinda I feel for you. I really really do.

At this point I have never had a sale so I think in my case I would rather have one sell and then for them to cancel rather than not consider me in the first place..

My way of thinking in your case is that they really want a bigger size and are figuring out if they want it matted and framed or just a print in a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry large size!!
Anyway hope they come to their senses!!!

Good luck to you,
Sincerely,
Barb Baker

Oh Barb thank you! That's very sweet of you. I know I'm not the only one and I really don't like to complain - before I know it someone will be asking me if I would like a little cheese to go with that "wine" - come to think of it - a little cheese wouldn't be too bad right now - depending on the flavor! :)

I'm good - but I'll let you know if they "super-size it!"

Melinda, the sales will happen. I agree, they are probably looking for the correct size, frame, mat, etc., Just keep on keeping on! This FAA site is full of surprises when you least expect them. While waiting for sales, I spend a lot of time on the Discussions page.....especially FUN GAME 11. Actually, I never worry about selling....and I don't sell a lot, for sure, however, I have met some pretty awesome artists through the discussion pages. Give it a try. I'm sure that you will make a lot of good friends, and that, in itself, makes this venture worth while....even when we are not selling. Good luck.

I just noticed we can participate in the Return Donation Program~ Instead of all our fantastic artwork being tossed. Check behind the scenes

Look I totally agree with you that I think there are some really great people on here and I plan on just keeping on. I don't know where, if anywhere, doing this will lead. I would like to believe that this is something I will continue with. I enjoy it and I enjoy seeing what other people on here are able to accomplish. I enjoy the discussions and the opportunity to mix with other people that are as obsessed with art as I am, whether it's photography, painting, sculpture, etc.

Good night FAA friends.

Since you haven't been in here for very long, I wouldn't worry about it and I'd be grateful that you had a sale that quick even if they changed their mind.Maybe a spouse bought it and then was told by the other spouse that they couldn't afford it. It wasn't a quality issue if it was canceled that quickly and tech support didn't contact you. Be glad that somebody wanted to buy something even if they didn't follow through with the purchase ;-). Hang in there. Keep marketing your work and don't give up.
