Picture Rag Rolled In Tube?

just sold a print of Poe a few minutes ago and it's said the image was printed on a( Picture Rag) and will be then rolled in a tube. This is the first time I have seen Picture Rag. What is it? I looked in my Poe prints and couldn't even find it anywhere. Also when did that option start?

Very thick paper. I ordered some prints on it. Great stuff! Although rolled in a tube it can be a challenge to get it to flatten.

Yes great paper...feels like watercolor paper weight...BUT rolled in tube is an awful way for them to ship it and they don't offer a place to comment when placing an order so you can't even offer to pay more to have it shipped flat. I recently ordered three large prints on it and they've been trying to flatten out for a week now. Not sure they'll make it in time for mounting for my show. Really sucks IMO.

Hey, congratulations on your sale Leah!!

FAA sells a sample pack of small generic prints on all of the papers and canvas that they offer for about $5 plus shipping. I have one and recommend it to anyone who wants to see what the options for print materials are.

A while ago, I ordered this gorgeous rag paper, more like cloth, and they sent it in a flat box, well protected....even though I didn't stipulate it........lucky me?

I appreciate the info everyone, good to know what it is. Funny after 4-5 years selling prints here, today was the first time I saw someone order one with my image. Thought it was new or something.

I don't like challenges. I won't be ordering that from faa, but I will print on it locally.....
