Brad - You should see in " behind the scenes" that groups are recommended for you according to your subject and location keywords. The best groups are the ones that support your interests. You can see when scouting out their "activity". level. High is , or would appear to be the best of course - but don't forget you will be in there with thousands of images.
Read the groups requirements, some of them are very picky " on Tuesday wearing blue, must Pin my dog Ted & vote /like/Twitter all of my work " or the focus on group block voting.

There are MANY great groups that will feature your work - it is a big help.

I'm not so sure customers look at groups. It will be mostly other artists that see your pictures. But if you want one where the members are actively promoting other artists work the group Comment For Comment - CFC , and Self-Promotion Skills for Artists. Be aware they expect you to be active in promoting others as well.

there are no best groups. promoting outside of this site is the best way. a group won't help you do any of that. and if they do they are helping everyone not just you. it's best to join all of them and enter what fits. but to tell people outside.

if you want more people upload more images

put up words that help people find you - like where is this exactly? and that should be in your keywords as well. there is nothing in your keywords that mentions marina, buildings, town, city, shanty, the state location, your name, etc.

but there are no best groups. also enter contests that fit.

I don't know if groups really help that much. But brighter images will help, this one and others in this series look dull on my screen, the subject has some potential mass appeal due to it's somewhat eclectic waterfront scene, if you bump up the brightness while keeping the saturation, that would help catch the eye of viewers. -W
