Image Has Reached 100 Visitors Today!!

I'm so proud of this image even though it has not sold, yet. I've even done some touch-ups to it, to try to convey the message better. What do you think?

It's interesting, Davina. You could analyze this photo for a while. Like the people are all facing away from the church. They have "turned their backs". This church is important in our history. We should never turn our backs on our history, otherwise we are likely to repeat our mistakes.

To be honest I'm not sure what the message is. Is it affiliated with MLK?

No, not MLK. This church was the site of a horrific racially motivated crime, killing four young girls in the 60s. My mother, as a little girl went to this church and I was blessed that she did not go to church that day. When I was doing some double exposure work on the church, I looked up and saw children getting off a school bus and I thought how powerful is that?!?! That hate crime did not stop the church, the community, or the children from growing and flourishing. That's what I'm hoping to convey in this image.

Is it a real double exposure, or just layers in Photoshop at different opacities? To be honest, and especially without the explanation, it isn't clear what the people are supposed to be doing or where they are. I'm not a fan of the text either - how it's added, the font, the composition.

ah ok. In that case I find it hard to make out the meaning of your message unless you know the full story behind it. Someone like me who doesn't know the story would guess some spirituality, some triumph in the face of adversity - I thought this was maybe a church MLK preached at or was somehow connected with because of the 'The Dream' reference. I would say your message comes across, but scrambled. I recognized certain elements but was unable to put two and two together.

the message is not clear.
My eye is confused by 5 different images.

@Sean - Yes, it is real double exposure. My Nikon has that ability and I wanted to really work with it to cut down on my Photoshop time and kick up my in-camera effects.

I was told my image was unclear in a group I'm in here in FAA and added text to try to help with clearing it up. I guess that's not doing what I want it to do. This just goes to show that sometimes an image can be so clear to you in your head but, totally miss the mark outside your head. I'm just so in love with the idea behind this image, I refuse to give-up on it and will go back to the drawing board and see what I can do to make it clear.

Thanks everyone for your opinions it really helps to guide me with my mission on this image.
