Editing And Exisiting Group Poulation

When I upload an new photo I use the tick boxes of the groups I am a member of to add to suitable groups during the upload stage.

If I go back and edit that photo (replace the original photo or change wording etc) I see the tick boxes, all unchecked. Now if I leave these blank will the replacement photo automatically take the place of the original in all the original groups, or wil the old photo dissapear and I woulf have to resubmit (or tick all the same boxes again when I upload the replacement photo?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I am reluctant to try it out!

Thanks in advance

Mr. B - When you replace a photo - it is now changed. You may have to refresh the browser to see the change yourself.
I am not sure if it can take 24 hours to show the change in the system like a new upload would - I am sure someone will pop in to verify.

What I found interesting here is that you said when you go back in to edit - you find these boxes " all unchecked." That - should not be.

That has happened to me more than once when there has been a glitch in the system. I could see one or two of the boxes not being checked off if the group holder decided it was not an appropriate image for the group or perhaps went over admission limits for the day ( we are all guilty of that ) . But to lose all of them ?
That is a lot of links missing out there - & a whole lot of work to be constantly checking on & correcting.

Thanks Janine

It did seem odd that it might work that way and I did try it just the once when I first joined and only had only joined a handful of groups, but have not dared try again!!

So if I understand, If I do edit, I should be presented with a full list of my groups and those where I have previously submitted the edited photo should be automatically ticked already?

I shall put that one experience down to a temporary glitch and it might be time for a test run....fingers crossed :0)

Correct. It doesn't hurt to take a peek & check on them every now and then. You will find yourself doing this anyhow, as learning how & using the best keywords can feel like an ongoing task.

Welcome aboard - & best wishes .

Many thanks Janine.
I joined in Feb and frankly had a lot to learn about keywording in the first pictures (still learning), but have been anxious about revisting earlier shots

That's my weekend sorted then!
