What Kinds Of Things Have You Never Or Very Rarely Seen Sell On Faa?

Either because they don't seem to be in demand or because there isn't much of a selection on FAA?

Cave formations as in typical limestone or marble caves one would normally go on a guided tour of never seem to be in the recent sales.

Any other objects, subjects or themes?

i'm not sure i can post a picture due to the new rule, but i have sold a toilet.

there doesn't seem to be a real need for nasty snap shots. i've seen plenty of those. i think it's usually not a theme - but half a theme - half a couch, half a table, etc.

It's not intended to be an image thread at all but one that may help lead to new ideas for subjects that are not well represented on FAA for which there may be an opportunity to create and sell or to identify areas that are well represented but for whatever reason seem to have no buyers.

Maybe the opening post should have included this is not the place to post your images that don't sell regardless of how many views they do or don't have.

often it's not the subject, but how it's presented.

MY images :O(

In my opinion, but I could be wrong, I don't think black and white pencil drawings sell as much as other mediums on here.

@Adam I didn't think you had meant it as an image thread hence it not being closed :) I was more telling other people who started to post images lol

I've never seen a crayon on lined paper sell, though I have seen them posted.

I've seen plenty of digital abstracts sell in the past. And some of the art that I've seen makes me sad that it sold.... Just kidding Karen. :)

There is a huge difference between what you don't see on FAA and what do you not see selling on FAA. One leads to the other but the latter does not necessarily mean the former.

What I men is there are things here that simply will not sell because there isn't a huge market for them. I know Savad sells his creepy dolls once in a while and they are on FAA but not big sellers. Same thing with say rattlesnakes. I have had my snake images up since day one and sold my very first rattlesnake print EVER two days ago. Keep in mind that is the first one I have sold in ANY venue including FAA. So, they are on here but don't generally sell that well.

Now, on the flip side, if you can come up with something that is not on here or rare here it gives you a chance to OWN that market. That is one of the biggest things I use to make sales. (My Abilene Theory) Seriously, three thousand five hundred and twenty Brooklyn Bridge images on here. There are other bridges in NYC and the rest of them make me good money.

I hardly ever see clown images on the selling page.

I'm not getting this image thread thing. The other day someone started a thread for Polaroid. I'm interested in Polaroid, and made a post. The thread was immediately closed due to this rule.
I don't participate in many threads, and it was disappointing to have 1 shutdown that I had interest in. So, I have a couple of questions.

When is a thread an "image thread"? and What is the reason for the rule?

HW, I was ready to submit to the Polaroid post, too. Not many members are going to have Polaroid images, I imagine, so it wouldn't be huge. It's unique enough. However, I suppose that once a rule has been issued (no more image threads), then that includes all of them, no matter how different. I am someone who really dislikes the image dumping threads (i.e., "Let's see your spring flowers" ... I made that up as an example) and never even look. A post like that is going to get huge in no time.

How about allowing image threads with unique subject matter? I'm perfectly fine with no image threads, however. None is better than too many.

Don't mean to divert this ... as for what sells or doesn't, I look often and notice what does sell, not what doesn't. However, now I'll start looking for that clown, Louise. LOL
