Strange Halo Effect

I am brand spankin' new to Fine Art America, and I am building my gallery today. The uploads of my photographs has turned out quite well, but I have 5 images of my photo collages that look a bit wonky on the computer screen. There's a strange halo effect around the subjects, and while they are lessened when I use the zoom in feature, they are still there. I have had these images printed before with no issue, and I checked the actual files in my computer and there is no halo effect there. I am concerned about this - has anyone had this experience? The backgrounds are white. I have an email in to the staff about this too. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

To post the image so that the Photogs can view better; go to your image page & look for the Code under the color boxes.
Click to highlight in blue. control V to copy, control C to paste in the thread.
I have seen this problem discussed before in the forum. Hopefully it can be worked out quickly for you.

It happens that sometimes FAA over sharpens the display images.

It may be a sharpening problem.

Hi guys - thank you all for the responses. I have had it printed to 11x17 in the past, and I don't see any type of halo effect. I'm wondering whether it's a monitor thing...
