We have galleries, artists and photographers. Anyone with the licence to can sell work here and always have been able to

while yes that understanding is correct. there are a number of stock places here and licensing firms selling the art as well. if the owners of the images gave this company permission to sell here then it's ok. though i wouldn't call them out by name because of the name and shame rule, you might want to edit that out.

there are about a dozen or more stock image company people here.

it does create a middleman thing - but as an agent, it's another place for money the artist may not have thought of and there you go.

My bad! I stand corrected!! Thanks for the info, and I did edit out their name in my first post, since they are perfectly legitimate sellers here on FAA.

It's another middleman so the artists whose images those are are probably making almost nothing when the sale goes through a big stock agency and then through FAA. Getty image pricing on here tends to be rock bottom so if Getty doesn't get much then the artist probably makes like $5.00 when the artist selling with their own account makes 3 to 10x that much.
