Mine is today January 22, 19XX. And, I will celebrate by digging out of the 10" of snow that was left in my driveway yesterday!

August 29. I'm an old fart (but not as old as some) - the AARP wanted me to join a few years ago.

alas, nobody reads. I officially give up on getting you stickies, forgive me, but nobody would read them......
by the way, I didn't get a birthday anything in 2013 except a 6:30 wake up call from my mom's doctor telling me to get on a plane and come home.
i'll take any available date this year..the sooner the better!

Thanks Abbie - but not thanks. I quit having birthdays years ago. In a persons life there are several important "birthdays": 1, 6, 16, 18, 21, 30, then you have the big skip to 50 or 65, and then lets just not talk about it anymore until say 100 and anything thereafter. My granddaughter who was born 10 years ago - says she's 15. I had an aunt that "lied" about her age all her grown life, not older, but younger - seemed to "work" for her - until she wanted to retire - then she had to find a few folks that would swear when she was born - she didn't have a birth certificate - born out in the woods on the back of a wagon pulled by mules.

That's funny Roy. I had a friend who was 3 months older than me. One year suddenly she became a year younger than me. When she told someone her age in front of me, I just looked at her for a minute and she avoided my stare LOL. And we were still in our late 20's at the time. I thought that was pretty pathetic. I guess she was trying to put off the dreaded three-oh.

I have not talked to her in years. Since we're both eligible to collect SS now, I wonder how old she says she is? Hopefully still not trying to pass for 29....

if they say they look older, i'll agree. if they ask how old they look, i usually guess 10 years or more older than they should be. because it's funny. and while their eyes bug out and later fall out, i can get away...

This post is an artists (Not mods and please ignore the blue coat I wear......) personal open post to Walter who has accused me of ignoring people (him) in birthday threads. I'm not omnipotent. I don't have a magic wand. I have to be told when someone's birthday is and then I was doing these on my own, not part of FAA. Just because I wanted to. I did have issues with these too as I didn't set up my reminders properly but I am NOT doing these officially, just as another member and really do not appreciate being made to feel guilty in someone else congratulations thread.

If I have missed someone whose name is here then I am deeply sorry to them, but if you have not put your name here then I have no way on this planet to know when your special day is and I hope you will not try and spoil someone else's thread because of that.

Just guessing: Abbie probably missed someone's birthday, and they felt slighted. That person probably also didn't give Abbie birthdate information.
