Favorite Color

Manet said that it took him a lifetime to realize that the king of all colors was black. Personally I like Red but I have no real reason for that. How about you?

@Bob (totally off-topic for anyone not interested)

Wilkie Collins (1824 - 1889) was an English novelist, most famous for his works 'The Woman in White' and the history-making 'The Moonstone' -- which is, arguably, considered the first detective novel to be written in English.

Though the gem in the story was actually a diamond, true moonstones experienced a huge surge in popularity, based on the title of Wilkie's serial, and are still popular today.

Moonstones are lovely, and similar to opals. A quick search of 'moonstone jewelry' via Google images, might just make you fall in love . . . with the gleaming, mysterious, moonstone! :-)

Women like more warm colors. I have found in many of my exhibitions. About these colors;

@Angelina... so sorry.. somehow I got Mood ring confused with moonstone... Guess I'm dating myself ;O)

Thank you Wendy for pointing that out. And here I go dating myself again.... Who is Wilkie Collins?

Red = Gladys Knight
All other colors = The Pips ;-)

@Bob - Moonstone is still a very popular gem, Wilkie Collins notwithstanding. ;-)

Red is my favorite. I really enjoying colors that change from perspective, like my moonstone ring, and opals.

I am partial to blue though my colorblindness may contribute to that as I can see that color much better than reds and greens.

People often comment that I use a LOT of green.

Blue

Yes, Black is KING/dominant, isn't it......! But, it doesn't arouse emotion for me, except when juxtaposed with another (any) colour............then they're both exciting !!!

I tend to be drawn to anything vibrant. It's difficult to pick just one so I'm going with the reds, blues and greens.
