@Mary - Not bad for a newb. I see much potential there. :-)
@Phyllis - Cool bubbles! Wish I could get those for the bath.

I am re-bumping this thread from a few months ago, because it does appear to be an artform a lot of folks dabble in these days, yet often gets overlooked.
I started using DAZ about 18 months ago, and being completely new to the artform, I did think I would struggle to ever come to grips with it. In the first few months I did just that, but then started texturing my own models and configuring them how I wanted them to appear. Whilst I am still learning alot of what this package offers, I have managed to use it to my advantage in my work. It often gets dismissed in professional 3D circles, but perfect for a beginner!
This is my most recent one and to date the one I am most proud of!
Relinquish My Soul - http://bit.ly/Hvkjkq (Mature)
I love what it has enabled me to do figuratively, and will continue to enjoy it's versatility.

Thanks for bring our thread back to life - when interest prevails -- it's a good thang ;)
Welcome & an invitation to all 3d modeling afficianados -- Ifour -- I see you're already a member :) Digital and Traditional 3D Modeling group
Your links aren't working for me though ...you last 2 bring up page not found -- the first requires a log in ...?

With pleasure Carmen - I LOVE 3D art of late and is something I try my best to fit into my 2D projects. Just like everything, these often take time! And I do get far more stressed during 3D render times :)
Hmm I will look into this! thanks for telling me!
That link was actually just to my AW website - not sure why it won't let folks view it :(

I don't stress during render times -- just work on other projects --always have several underway -- or walk away ;)

I removed those links. Yes I am a member I think of your group, but may not have submitted latest - I wasn't sure if you were OK with NSFW stuff?

Not Safe For Work - NSFW - probably better suited to other venues -- I see in your portfolio there's lots of others to submit :)

Fantastic title goes with art of same caliber, Wendy ! :)
At the moment I'm experimenting with some new 3D modeling techniques...inspired by an art show I attended last week......

Mary -- re your comment "I did this one in Inkscape and pulled a pdf version of it into Photoshop and I can't remember what I did to it from there ;-): "
I take printscreens or screengrabs at various points in my work process -- come in very handy as referral for subsequent, or revisiting same projects.
Low resolution, save them as jpgs -- keep them in same folder with your project.

Thanks, Carmen! I've already received one email pointing out the 'typo' in that title.

Fun to see what everyone's up to -- thanks JL, MM & Chuck....
Focus this a.m.'s been on creating a pal for my Canadian Hoser below -- another antler to go & some 'fine finishing' -- which, by the way is a term I learned in floral design where you learn to 'hide your mechanics' -- bridal bouquets are often heavily wired to ensure those ivy extensions stay put :)
I create the model building with basic primitives/spheres -- converting to a mesh which I then model further. Fascinating process....
Should have it complete later today...another antler to go, etc.

This was posted yesterday in honor of Veterans Day celebrated on the eleventh day of the eleventh month every year. The eleventh hour was when the Peace Treaty was signed at the end of World War One. I deliberately made this work nation-neutral. Many countries fought in WWI and each nation deserves to honor their military veterans.

My new series underway #3 of 10 ... inspired by an incredible dancer at the gorgeous Peace Hills Trust Annual Native Art show I attended a couple of weeks ago... This dancer has earned the name 'Hydro' -- his energy is absolutely mind boggling.
