The first music thread became too slow to load so this is a continuation by request.

To keep it from bogging down too quickly please, no embedding, just type the artist name & song and add a link. Thanks!

I too like to listen to classical music while working. I also like Celtic or Irish music, and occasionally Scott Joplin.
Here's Bach with one of my faves, "Minuet in G Minor":

Wow! Gunter, you have an amazing musical family! Beautiful voices and beautiful ladies too! So much talent... ..just wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, I'm the black sheep of the family, my dad was an opera singer too, and my little niece is very young but already a promising violin player.
I always played rock, what ya gonna do?
Hahaha! Hey, you went in the direction that interested you.... nothing wrong with that. Rock is where it's at! ; ) Coming from such a musical family, it's little wonder why you excelled...and probably would have with any instrument you had chosen. I'm sure your family have been just as proud of your accomplishments in music.

Gunter...
first off...
I don't know who did it or why you were being called a "scam artist"...but I just wanted to say that you should never feel intimated by yours and your families talent in here again. Post away! I think its wonderful and pay no attention to them.
(because I think it's wonderful is not the reason why you should pay them no attention...lol...but you know what I mean:)
I love when Gayle says..."It's true, I'm not trying to get on your good side"...(very sweet)
So...will you be getting into producing? ;)
btw...I lived in Vegas for six years and still have more than a few relatives there, though more than a few have passed on.
when Gayle mentioned working on commercials...That's what I also did while there, but on the acting side of them...not the music side. ;)
Does she like Diana Krall?
anyway...Bravo to you and yours!
Phyllis...I enjoy classical when driving (alone;)

Gunter…
Lol…they are still doing the same types of commercial I did back in the early 80’s!
I can’t show any of my stuff because it’s on “beta” or “Vhs” and my print work isn’t on my computer…except this one…because there was a thread a long time ago about doctors or something (I don’t remember) so I posted it for the joke. ;) (see, I once had hair too! ;)
hey…Good for you on the upcoming movie and acting gigs!
Btw…I was in Rocky IV while I lived in Vegas. I was a Russian KGB “photographer”…lol…I was originally hired as a security guard but the KGB guy didn’t want to cut his hair (because of his modeling, (which I also did)…so my agent asked me if I would…and I said, OK if it was certain I would be on camera...she said yes, so I let them cut my hair. Lol
I took the propaganda photo of the fighter’s wives at the beginning of the movie and also was in a few other scenes…many were cut out. I worked on it for 7 days, it was filmed in the old MGM Grand.

Rush has been one of my favorite bands since I was in high school. Saw them on the Farewell to Kings tour my senior year and I was blown away by their musicianship. All 3 are masters of their respective instruments. Some may not care for Geddy Lee's voice or maybe not like progressive rock, but their remarkable music ability can't be denied. They also continue to be creative and have not stopped even after all these years. I love their latest album, Clockwork Angels. Neal Peart is not only an awesome drummer but also the bands lyricist. He has written some books also that are great reads.

Hey, no biggie. We can't know all things. The amount I know adds up to zilch when compared to all there is to still learn in life. All our life, no matter our age...is a continual learning experience, right up to the last breath. Even Einstein on his deathbed was still seeking answers. ; )

Schenker's is a great version! I'm a long time fan of Neal Schon's playing....but I have to say sometimes he goes too fast and blurs the notes too much, imo. I have his latest solo CD " The Calling"...I love most of it but I was critical of that over shredding or whatever you call it in a couple of the songs. I like the guitar playing on Michael's better. Who is playing on that? You were playing bass weren't you?

But, I can give a link to his website. He doesn't have the rock on there but he does have a solo CD that can be heard where he plays classical acoustic and spanish guitar that is equally great. Some are his own original compositions. When I was a kid and he was a teenager I remember him practicing in his room all of the time when I would go visit. He amazes me how he can play any genre.

lol! I have to say, I was never into DLR. Campy is funny though. I'm more Van Hagar singing wise. ; )
@ Chaline
Thanks for the contributions!
@ Bob
lol! I'm kinda doubting there is any real deep meaning to that song. Haha!
@ Natalie
Wow! That was a blast from the past! I haven't heard that in a long time. Thanks!

It's a beautiful morning. Suns up, birds chirping, pleasant breeze......
So....now playing one of my very favorite tunes to start the day.
I found an extended mix that is pretty well done and some great photography to accompany it done by the young man who posted the vid.
I hope everyone enjoys their day. : )
