Good move,great art....wonderful when the locals support their artists.....happened to me by chance.....paint wasn't even dry! Shopkeeper hung it, charged nothing for the privilege, it sold for cash same day....I was so chuffed....He who dares,wins!

make sure your name is on it somewhere easy to find. it might be a good place to ask if you can hang a flier or make some cards.

And about the description of it, honestly there is no description, you see what you want to see in it. I will be the first to tell you I have no idea what most of my art is about. It's just ink on paper.

No they did not pay me for it, nor did I ask for a payment, they did however give me a small coffee for free. But Richie Montgomery now has a permanent attraction at a highly visible location. and an immaculate flyer in the window!

A good way to do this is giving it to them and ask if they would like to display in the coffee house a couple more of your work and offer it for sell. Sometimes it works very well.

Display the work and a nice bio and a great description for the piece, so customers can see that they buy from the artist direct and support art.

I'ts a win win, they have free art on there wall, and get it replaced, once sold. Much better for a java joint, than department store pic's. Makes the place cozy, gives it personality and class.

I hope they are paying you for it! Love this one.
