My ''Activity Stream'' doesn't work... I mean it is not updated. For instance, I cannot see the new artworks posted by the members that are on my watch list. The first I see was posted 2 days ago. Also I don't see all the comments I received in the last 8 hours. I see just one and I know there are many 'cause I verified. Thank you for renewing this thread, Abbie. Have a beautiful day. :)

Abbie, oh no it's me again... Sorry, but I just got an email about the thumbs for FEATURED images not showing up or disappearing off the list under the images... So I checked and sure enough they are gone. Many of my works have been featured many times and the (max of three) thumbs are missing on those too.... even new Features are not showing up. Abbie, sorry but help please....

When I go back to edit an existing piece of artwork (add to additional groups, change available sizes, etc.) and hit Submit, I'm immediately directed to the Upload New Artwork page, where I'd normally add in an image to upload. The changes to the original image don't take, either. I'm using Firefox.

When I'm scrolling through images in a contest that has a particularly large number of entries, the site freezes up after a while and just refuses to completely load an image. I thought it was a problem on my end, but it's happened several times now and it just happened to me again. Using Firefox, but it's happened to me using Safari as well.

In the activity stream all the comments on my images have suddenly disappeared. This has happened twice today. Earlier this am there was only one showing, later they were all back, then just now there are none!

Help please?

Second: every night for the last week, trying to get ANY page to load on FAA is difficult to impossible. I have to repeatedly try. It's not my cache or browser as I keep my history emptied every day and it's the same browser I use normally during the day without issue. This is late at night Pacific time.

I don't know for sure but it seems like my activity stream has slowed.. There hasn't been an update in 7 hrs and prior to that it was a day. It is set on "All Activity".

i've been getting other people's activity in my stream. other people are getting comments and i'm seeing those - even though i know i never commented on their stuff. better than a 502,503,504 but i wonder if anything else is crossing over.

I was posting multiple images and the last image didn't post and I got a message that I was logged out due to inactivity.

I tried posting again just the one image and now am getting the following error

Getting logged randomly and often.. One instance of trying to log in an taken right back to the log in page. Basically like being locked out of my profile.

A similar thing happened to me but it seems to be OK now.

so like every sunday we have to have an error? i'm getting logged out when i try to edit an image. says inactivity, even though it shows me in the header and i can load up other things just fine.

i had 42 characters left in a tweet, and it said i was over a 140, i have no idea why, it accepted it when it had 77 characters left which tells me that whatever is shortening the url, isn't.

On uploading an image I press submit and it takes me back to the upload page and is not saved - has happened several times today and yesterday.
Also if trying to upload multiple images, most of them just freeze after about 10%

Uploader.....all the way then submit....then nothing with a '''''routine maintenance''''note....

Trying to edit description on images, when I click submit it takes me to the "upload an image" page and edits are not saved...

SUBMIT button (on edit artwork page) takes me back to new picture upload page, but not on all artwork. It was like this last week, since it was uploaded.

i found this out on another thread. when an image appears small - the zoom window doesn't work. when the image appears larger, then the zoom works fine. we aren't sure why the image seems smaller, i'm guessing it's a ratio thing, but who knows.

Please help, my images are shrinking!
(no ratio thing as Mike assumes ...)

Some of my images are displayed since a couple of days with a size of 600 x 450 pixels,
instead of the "normal" 900 x 675 pixels!!!

The shrinking phenomenon is very annoying for two reasons:

1) With their smaller display sizes, the downscaled images appear by far less impressive.
The area of the recently downscaled images is ONLY 2/3*2/3, which is ONLY 44% of previous "correct" size!!!

2) The magnifying preview tool does not work!!! A potential buyer cannot check size and quality.


Examples: Compare e.g. on my site

The aspect ratio is in BOTH CASES: 4:3, thus no difference in the aspect ratio.
Original image file sizes are in both cases (larger than) 6000 x 4500 pixels, thus definitely not too small.

I just tried to edit an image but when I hit submit it prompted me to upload and wouldn't save my edits. I'm using firefox.

How come visits drop by around 80-90% every time there is so thing buggy with the software? Does something get shut off with the stats counters or what's the story? Visits were like 80-90% higher this time last week. Not just for me but in general when you look at the stats for the artist websites and show the top visits by user. It just seems weird when there a bunch of bugs the visits drop like crazy

I went to artist "Jeff Swan's website this morning to post some comments on a couple of his images, and at the end of the third row of his images, they change to a different Jeff's works of art even though they are on Jeff Swan's website. There are actually 3 different artists works on Jeff Swan's web page...I notified him of what I found and he is looking into it...

Also, I wanted to post a couple of "suggestions" for the FAA website, but can no longer find a discussion to do this, does anyone know where I can find it?

I was editing my image - adding keywords - and in the middle of editing I saw a screen with "FAA encountered a problem" or something like that message (two lines of text). When I came back to resume editing, instead of the image this is what I saw and still see: . (a dot) and "Change Image" button.

However, I can see the image if I go to it from my gallery, not through the edit page. The image is this:



Do I need to do anything about it, is it Ok if the image does not appear on the Edit page? Is the file there and can it be printed if ordered?

Same issue as reported by Diana Sainz:

When I try to update my keywords and press the "submit" button, I am directed to the "upload new artwork" page and my keywords are not saved!

This bug is new. It's the first time I've seen this problem in the 1+ years i've been here at FAA. I always use adobe rgb 1998 color space, and the colors I see on my uploaded image always seem fine. However if you click the thumbnail below (created by copying the usual html code block) you'll see that the THUMBNAIL does not accurately reproduce the colors of my uploaded image. The colors of the thumbnail should match the colors of the main image on the FAA page rather precisely, particularly these colors which are solids. Likewise, the colors in my portfolio gallery/images tabs thumbnails are color shifted...

Click on this off-color image to see the image on its main page in the correct hues:


Please don't be confused by the fact that this image is a hue-shifted of a different image previously uploaded to photoshop. (I suppose it could be related to the problem, but I doubt it!) The problem is self-contained on FAA displays of this one image.. The main image page is displayed correctly, thumbnails are not. It seems that the green colors are shown much too yellow, and the main yellow color, which is actually d5ff3d (yellow with a touch of green) is displayed as a less saturated c3ff06 yellow. The brightest green in image is 90ff3e in the original, and is displayed as 00ff0c in the thumbnails created by FAA. (the FAA colors I report here are based on a screen captured image of the FAA thumbnail, evaluated by the photoshop eye dropper color tool. Other colors, perhaps all of them, seem too yellow in the thumbnails only. Since my monitor is the only one involved, I don't think it is a monitor calibration issue. Adobe's color palate tool warns that the color may not be web-safe, and may be outside of the safe printing gamut, but I wouldn't expect that to be a problem, since my monitor displays color accurately on all my images locally and on upload to faa. (Remember, the main page shows the colors correctly!) Also it cannot be a color issue due to resampling of pixels because each color segment in this image are quite uniform in color.
If you can't see the problem when you look at this, let me know and I'll post an image of my cropped screen capture of a thumbnail on my website, and provide a link here.

It just happened again. I tried to edit an image but when I hit submit it wouldn't save and when I refreshed it prompted me to upload. I'm still using firefox.

I can't view any image pages at the moment - when I click on a thumbnail, I get the '502 Bad Gateway The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.' message.

502 Bad Gateway - a first for me....I use Firefox. Work down the drain.

My AW site is getting the 502 error when I try to open a photo. But on the FAA site it's okay now (wasn't okay before). I've cleared the browser cache, but that does nothing for the problem.

The position order of artwork as shown on FAA isn't synched with that of the Artist Website. I moved some images forward yesterday, and it seems like it only partially "took" on the AW. I realize the AW uses a search for "All" art which is different from the ordered appearance on FAA, and sometimes searches aren't updated right away, but it's strange that the things I moved are indiscriminately placed now on the AW.

I'm trying to reupload a recropped image, but it doesn't take for some reason. I just keep getting the original version showing up. I have refreshed and tried different devices.

Update: Finally got it to work.

weird, i was removing a duplicate comment in my blog, and when it refreshed, i ended up in someone else's blog until i refreshed.

Another... I've tried to view my "comments" from my back room and I am logged off. Happened several times in a row.

I am having trouble just getting the page to load when I login in but then if I try to go anywhere on my page it wants me to login in again but shows I'm logged in. I can't go to messages either because it wants me to log in again.

Ditto Rosemary's and Lynn-Marie's errors. If I use the back button sometimes I can make things work. Seems to be really screwed up right now.

I just had the most amazing experience........logged in, uploaded image, 'forbidden access', huh? So, started again - all ok.......really weird. Something's amiss.

UPDATE - all is well for me now. I'm able to read messages and have uploaded several new photographs. All is well.

Reply to a post then the page cannot go through..this happened several times.

I tried again today to edit this image and it still won't save my edits, prompts me to upload an image. It seems to only happens on some images not all of them? I've been able to edit and save others.

It seems to be my older uploads which I can't edit and save, I just tried another (uploaded Jan. 2013) and it bombed. I have no problem editing and saving my recent uploads.

Apparently still not working for Internet Explorer.

i'm putting this in the bugs thing, but it will probably be impossible to prove. i installed stat counter on my main page, so i only get content from that. but every so often i'll see a link that shows that something was mailed to me. and i never got any mail. usually its from some other country. i don't know if that's an internal thing and thats how it works when groups are sent mail. or if i'm really missing the mail some how, i don't filter anything.

No twitter Bots?? I checked the box to post to twitter twice now, and no go.

Uploads are incredible slow when saving. Been like this for 5 days now. Can take almost 1-2 minutes after you hit the save button. Really frustrating. doesn't matter if it is 6 am or 7 pm. Just slow,slow,slow.

Twitter share button not working.

I've uploaded 4 images in the last 2 days none of which will sync with twitter. Getting no bots either! Whats wrong?

Update on my previous report on shrinking images and non-functional preview tool:

- Some of my images were suddenly displayed far too small, with 600 pixels width, instead of 900.
- The preview tool did not work with these images.
- Keywords could not be updated, instead I was directed to "new image upload" page.

I could solve ALL the problems by re-uploading the images. Tedious, but working ...
I hope very much that this solution stays stable.

Not sure where else to post this and I didn't want to open a separate discussion, so here I am.

If you look at this image here: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/1-the-homeless-roseann-caputo.html it looks fine, but when you look at it here on my AW: http://roseann-caputo.artistwebsites.com/featured/1-the-homeless-roseann-caputo.html there's a distortion that shows up. I can see the images are posting at two different sizes. But is there anyway to get rid of that distortion?

Visits are not showing up. I had a few sales today but the visits are not registered and it has been over 2 hours.

Twitter share is not working. Does it get shut off during certain times of the day for some reason or does it just work once in a while?

i keep getting mail from the sales lists. i never checked them off and i "Stop sending this thing to me" a few times today.

I am having problems uploading photos. It uploads but then it just sits there and doesn't go to the next screen.

I'm getting this message when I try to upload a photo, even though my image is only 7 MB. In fact, I see the same message right now about the reply box as I'm typing this!

No tweets being sent when posting new work in the edit mode.

Is the tech support email working and being monitored? I have sent a few emails in via contact us about issues with my account yesterday and early today and no response.

My FAA email is acting strange...it says I've gotten two new emails but they are no where to be found. Where did they go?

this isn't the first time we had the phantom mail. it's forgetting to mark the last one unread in the header, even though they are all read. the last time i fixed it was - i erased all my mail. but it didn't last long i guess. right now i'm showing one message.

When I open my site the recent "solds" each have a link on them that is Bing-related and says something about "Search" in the upper right corner. When you click on it, it takes you away from FAA to a Bing Search site. If you hesitate, you can't go directly to the "Sold" artwork's link, but only to the Bing Search site. Seems like malware, maybe? I removed my Bing task bar and it still does this. Suzanne

trying to edit an image that is square from being offered as a greeting card it has stripped all other prices off and only showing it as a greetting card .tried to re-edit prices brings me to download image screen .

Edit to add more detail: Tried 3 times. Twice from FAA, once from AW. Same result both places. Rebooted after first failure. Using Chrome... This last time, I just let it go (the Please wait......) and finally it brought me back to the "upload new artwork" page. My image is not there. :-(

@ Mike the mail that I received was from someone I've never received one from before. It said the name in my regular email but when I click on the link to take me to the email...nothing. I hope the poor guy doesn't think I'm being a snob and ignoring him. I just have no idea what the email said...

Uploader is hanging. I've tried the single image upload and the multiple image upload and each time the image appears to upload, but when I've finished editing and click to move on, the 'Please Wait' message just sits there.

this is strange, i'm not sure how to fix it either. i'm posting my link http://www.MikeSavad.com on facebook as a comment. it should read it and show my artist website, instead it shows it automatically as my other site - the public one. is there something wrong with facebook thingy that prevents it from going to the private site?

I guess we were down for maintenance for a few minutes. I have tried to edit an image - again - & upon hitting submit I get the upload image page. Editing not accomplished.

I just had a recurring issue happen again. When I have time, I like to scroll through all the images in a contest even if there are a lot of them, instead of just looking at the thumbnails. I get to a certain point and the system refuses to scroll to the next image - I get a blank screen, and not because someone deleted that image from the contest. This happens to me every time I scroll through a contest with a lot of images. Right now I'm on a PC using Firefox, but this happens to me as well on my Mac using Safari.

I am new to Fineartamerica and Face Book. I seem to have successfully setup my Fan page. However, the Shop icon appears on the Windows 8 PC but not on my iPad.
Open for help.

Once again, the uploader is not working, is just sits and spins, After all the work is done, and all is lost.....

Uploader is still not fixed. Since it was purported to have been fixed awhile back, uploading still gives me only a fifty percent chance of completing. The other fifty percent of the time when it doesn't complete, after pressing the submit button and waiting for a minute or so, I get the below message:

"FineArtAmerica.com is currently undergoing routine maintenance. Please check back in a few minutes."

But FAA is not down, I can still go to other parts of FAA. And when the uploading gets to this unstable state, it will continue to do this for other uploads until I close out of the web browser and go back in.

In addition, relating to uploads, when picking the "edit" button to edit an image, it takes about 10 times longer than it used to to bring up that image for editing. And when submitting that edit, it also has about a fifty percent chance of succeeding/failing. And even when the submit of an image works, it will take about 10 times longer than it used to to finish (if it finishes).

I am using both windows7 and windows8, 64 gigs ram, core i7, IE-10, etc. When I'm at the office, my bandwidth is 20mb/s for both download and upload. When at home, my bandwidth is 24mb/s download and about 4 mb/s upload. But the errors happen at both locations.

I keep having problems with changing the price on a couple of pictures and as soon as I submit the change it flips me over to "Upload New" screen and the changes don't stay. Now I have my "Pinto Pony" in here with no prices at all. It completely wiped them out and won't keep the changes. Just my card is showing for sale.

Five hours later and still flips me over to the upload page as soon as I change the price and hit submit.
This is the one I am currently having a problem with.

I just saw that Janine was having the same problem on June 17th.

my mail to home has been a bit hit or miss, and they never sent me an invoice that the site was paid for this year. i was expecting something. i checked the invoice on this site and it has a date of like 3-6-13, and i didn't pay anything then, though i think i corrected some info. and i would like a receipt.

Edit problem still not working. I am using Internet Explorer 9.
I just tried it on a different picture and it worked but will not let me edit "Pinto Pony".
I was able to do two more pictures then it got hung up on the third and wouldn't do anything.

Maybe this problem can be fixed? When I sort my pictures, they are okay when my page is viewed:



But when I am on a picture and click on VIEW ALL, some of them come up out of order. See the two sets: Luna in the Garden and My Office, and Surreal Dream and Surreal Example.

Not a big deal, but I wonder if many more are out of order like this?



Now, looking at the pages, a lot are in different order.

Same issue as Wingsdomain and Theresa -- I'm able to edit most images successfully but then run into one that will bring up the "Upload New Artwork" page or "FineArtAmerica.com is currently undergoing routine maintenance. Hello Abbie, I had this photo posted months and months ago, but it was in my computer and when original scanned and I uploaded it, all that was available was post card. Well I just recently found another scan I had of it, and instead of completely loosing all the remarks I upload the new photo and I messed up my keywords now the photo can not be seen because I destroyed the keywords link or broke the thread, how can I fix this.

Its only an 8 x 10 that is it I think, but then that is a potential sale!

Just and additional note to my last post. Note the image in the link I posted is NOT the image that it points to. So something is up there as well.

Also noticed that no images I uploaded today are showing up on my Facebook Fan Page although I did confirm that it is enabled in my settings. I don't have them posting to my facebook page, so I don't know if it is a function of the Facebook posts not working at all or just the Fan Page

Still this morning - at 9:30 eastern and I cannot edit photo's what gives? when I hit submit it takes me to the upload page. I really need to have this fixed - thank you. rd

I uploaded a piece on Saturday and it is still not able to be found in search? Has search not been updated lately?

Abbie - why won't it let me edit just this ONE image? Is there something I should do - maybe upload a new image? I did a global update on all the images in this gallery - strangely - about a third of them didn't take the change and I was manually editing each one - this one stopped the movement and always takes me to the upload page when I hit submit. So, I went to the last image in the gallery and started working backwards - got them all updated with the new price and fixed some key words and a description or two - hit submit - up comes the next next one fine - then I get back to this - and it once more stops dead and leads off to the upload page.

@Roy. My Pinto Pony does exactly the same thing.

I can't sell it if I can't put a price on it - and when I was changing prices - this is one that didn't take - all the lines are blank.

Same here - I was just adding keywords, and all of a sudden it just hangs when you go to edit existing artwork.

"I" solved the problem by going into edit and replacing the image - then it let me add the price. Maybe you need to upload a new image - shades of ImageKind (which has about 15 days of life left for me. I spent an hour or two there deleting images that I want off that site now.)

Hi Abbie, I have a problem with my old west series... the full res previews are not working. If I go into edit on each image I can resubmit and then it works again but it means going into each one individually. Anyway you can reset from your end? Just checking to see if there has an update on the image update issue. I still can edit and save certain images, it prompts me for upload when I try to save. Still using firefox.

Gosh! what's this?

I have not been able to upload anything since early this morning. I did receive an error earlier (unfortunately did not copy it) but now it's just sitting at 0%, never uploads anything. I also see a warning above this box saying my image is too large. However I am not uploading an image to this post lol.

So I was able to upload and create a page, but when I click on the image I receive this error:

502 Bad Gateway
The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.

I tried clicking on several other images, both mine and other FAA users, and same thing.
Has anyone responded to the bug reports?

I also managed to upload a new picture, put all the prices in etc - hit submit and got the bad gateway error.

When I click on any of my pieces to view them from my profile, I get a blank white screen with "502 Bad Gateway" as a message. I don't know if this would be the same issue because my "edit" button is working. If you still need my browser I'm using Google Chrome. Thanks!!

Bad gateways here too. But Also my biggest problem is with this new account. I have uploaded two photos last week, and when I click on my profile I get sent back to the index page. I thought perhaps it was because my profile pic is sticking at upload as well. It only shows a broken image icon.

did someone just unclog a pipe? i just got like 2-3 weeks worth of back mail from groups and such. the missing orphans i never saw, are coming now. i just 56 of them.

Bad gateway 504 is back. I'm trying to look at images in the thread I started and I'm getting the error when I click on the image.

I am having a gateway issue on all my gallery's, I can not get into my gallery's...it started a little while ago, I can funtion in other areas like take part in discussions....

I cannot see any other artists comments on any artist works other than my own in the "activity" window.
I also cannot see my images when uploaded to "stumble" other than a link to FAA without the actual image showing.
Was like this 6 hours yesterday and again this morning for 6 hours so far...
Anyone else having these same issues?

When uploading new images or editing existing ones, Facebook and Twitter shares are disabled. It says click here for each to enable. When I look behind the scenes it says they are enabled already.

More frustrations here. I have tried to upload a photo 4 times and it either tells me that my session has timed out or the one time I was able to get it to upload, it didn't show any pricing. Please fix! Thanks!

No problems here - just saying -

It steals OUR time and is really annoying that the script/database adds a space to each keyword after the comma when we edit an image that was uploaded some time ago.
So when we hit 'submit' after editing we get the message: "WARNING: Your keywords must be 500 characters or less. You are currently at 561" although the keywords used in the original upload were without a space after the comma and exactly or below 500 characters (otherwise the system wouldn't have accepted the upload in the first place).
(The numbers mentioned above are just an example!)

I know how to fix it, but it's a really annoying bug.

Having problems with editing my new image.

"Bio" not showing up on AW with google search. Interestingly enough, It shows when clicking the "behind the scenes" link. Also the website link on FAA goes to a previous url
that no longer exists.

Trying to vote in the Black & white contest and the blue FB icon keeps popping up (?) . Page shut itself down twice while attempting to vote.

server ate an image problem...editing image (i know on sunday !) push submit went to site being worked on page. called" days gone by "black and white barns was # 293 on my end posted feb 13th 2011 it is showing that it is there but an illusion thank you for your time .

ok so i accidentally clicked unsubscribe in the mail. so i went to log in with the mail, and then tried to log into that message through the mail, and it dumped me into the front page. as if it were totally gone or closed. which brings up the other thing, when you load up a close message, it shouldn't go to the main page, i would rather see it's closed so i can just remove it from my list.

My issues is within groups of which I am a member. I post work and then when I go back later it says I have no work active, none pending, or rejected. Even though in some of these groups my work has even been posted as a featured piece. Or it has been commented on by group members, but accroding to the "My Images" activity information, it never existed. I'm having to resubmit work over and over.

Can't upload.... tried 5 times. Very time consuming... Suggestion to others with the problem: type your keywords and description into a text file so you don't have to retype it every time the upload fails... like I've done...

Still can't upload... or rather, the upload looks like it gets processed, but then nothing happens. Very time consuming...

FAA not displaying correctly using Firefox?

Hello everyone.

Anyone else seeing differences when viewing FAA with Firefox?

For some reason the site is displaying narrower and is only showing profile images at 600 pixels.

When I log in to the site via Explorer, it looks much wider and displays profile images at 900 pixels.


Firefox used to display 900 pixel images, not sure what has happened.

just refresh the page and it will be back.

I did Mike and it is not working. Firefox is displaying a different size website than Explorer. With Firefox I am seeing a narrower page (967 pixels wide not including the black borders) with only 600 pixel display images. With Explorer I see a much wider page with 900 pixel images.

Not sure what is up with Firefox. I have not changed any settings and it used to display the full 900 pixel image??

While sitting in the doctors office this morning, I thought I would check out FAA with my Iphone. I discovered that on my smallest available print the price would be correct. However, all larger sizes showed a price of zero dollars. This occured on several of my offerings. I don't know where the glitch is, but thought you all should be aware. And before anybody asks, I do have prices listed on all print sizes. None are zero dollars. I run google search on a 4S Iphone. iOS ver 6.1.3. Safari browser.

This is one image I've not been able to edit and save for at least a month, there are others but I don't know which ones right now. I sent a request for tech support but have heard nothing. When I try to edit it prompts me for upload.



I finally uploaded the image again. When I did so it wiped out all of my data, description, keywords, group submissions, etc. didn't even pull in default pricing, cleared everything including features. What should I do when I encounter this problem again?

edit: It would not overwrite the existing image when I save it duplicated, so I deleted the new upload. Can this image (and the others) be fixed so that I can edit and update them?

Didn't go into the big skip to see if anyone has already reported this, but for several weeks, periodically when I click my activity (sometimes other places), I get this crazy page full of letters, numbers and symbols, perhaps a page program? Anyhow, if I go back and try again it USUALLY is corrected, just thought that I shold report it. Thanks....

I'm also having the edit/update problem. Is there any update on it?

I initially had three images that every time I tried to add a tag to it, it prompted me to upload the image again (as if I had clicked to edit the image rather than just submitted a tag change). This happened in Firefox. I tried clearing cache, etc., but no matter what for those three images, I couldn't edit in Firefox.

I don't know if this next part helps or muddies the water, but I tried it in Safari instead. Two of the three images, I was finally able to edit, but one displays the same behavior of asking me to upload a file whenever I click submit for my tag change.

This is the stubborn one that I can't edit in any browser I've tried so far:



Will try again later and if it happens to finally work, I'll report back. Just didn't want to send a needless support ticket if this is indeed still being investigated.

No bugs, I'm finally able to edit and save my image!! Doing a happy dance, THANK YOU!! :)

Uploading ok except the default prices are only half showing up - with the ones that are showing up, the wrong price is in the wrong size slot.

12:30 am pacific time and upload not working.

7:08 am. 7/10 upload data entry screen not working fa consistent basis. 4 attempts in a row. Running win 7 64bit, much memory, many processors. Only one FAA tab open, just one Firefox browser instance.
Images in behind the scenes, single file upload option. Browse to select the image in my directory E:faa. Click the upload button.
The upload takes 13 seconds, goes without a hitch.
I get the image data edit page.
Tags, title description are already there from my upload file metadata, and default prices from FAA.
I click that the original is not for sale,
I click the gallery folder I want.
I click send. (I don't use twitter or facebook updates)
The progress bar shows, but never updates.
The status bar on my firefox browser says that it's waiting for a connection, but no matter how long I wait, I never get a completion with a view of he newly uploaded image page. There is no error message. Response time on the previous steps is very quick.
The browser status bar reads "waiting for fineartamerica.com" It will stay that way indefinitely.
However, my connection remains good. If I click on a different tab, I can come here and fill out this form, for example.
Here is the info from the actual file upload, which includes the FAA file upload id in faint grey letters:

7:33 am. I just got the upload to work properly.
Here was my thinking:
If I click on a new tab, and start doing other things, like trying to repeat the upload the file that just was stuck on the edit screen, perhaps the old upload session is still ongoing. And we all know that two simultaneous upload or upload sessions is very bad. Therefore:
I closed the browser, not saving any tabs.
I opened the browser.
I went to faa, and maybe my login was still active, or maybe it wasn't. I'm not sure. So to be sure, I logged out. (I logged in, or it was still logged in)
I logged out.
I logged back in.
Now I'm sure my old sessions are most likely dead.
I repeated the upload as described above.
It worked fine.

My suggestion, please try this and tell us your results. If having trouble with upload where file uploads, you fill in the info, and when you hit submit nothing much seems to happen, try this:
1. Close brower.
2. Open browser.
3. Log in
4 log out
5. log in again.
Try the upload. Does it work now???

I think my detailed report on this problem, my specific actions, the server's specific responses, and a suspected solution are NOT overkill, given a wide spread problems that's been hard for users and support to resolve.

Oh. One thing that I changed on my last (successful) upload attempt that could have been part of the reason it worked, but it doesn't seem likely: I did NOT check a gallery or a group, just to check changes to those two steps in the procedure. I'm lguessing that the logouts/logins may be related to the problem.

For really difficult long lasting problems, very specific info like this can be helpful to high level tech support people (Sean, in this case.)

It may seem like a lot of trouble, but it helps you bond with tech support a little, and is more likely to help than just flaming threads.
I always hope that when I make such a detailed report that it is definitely passed along to high level technical support. (Sean, in this case....)

Sometimes I look at one of my images in the "framed prints" sales area to see how it will look in a frame. All of a sudden today, it's only offering square prints in the frame section. The regular prints still show as normal. I didn't try it with the acrylic, etc. option. The images I'm looking are are definitely NOT square....

EDIT - it seems to only be doing it with the first image in my images view. it's working correctly with the others...???

EDIT-EDIT - ok, now it's offering both a square version AND a regular version of that print. I guess it will clear up in a minute since it can't make up its mind...

Can't upload. It just freezes and no error message. Basically upload has not been working for the past 3-4 months. It is really just a crap shoot.

i got the comment list in my box, this is the second time where the images didn't load and in place of the image i had a small blue sun? odd little graphic filler.

One of my recently sold photo is not showing the price list anymore. I tried to manually type in the list, but it doesn't let me do it.

Okay, I was able to figure out how to price them. I still can't do it from "Edit Image" button, but I went to Bulk Edit Prices under Behind the Scenes and manually typed in the price list. Now it's showing the price.

As of now visitor count is NOT working at all.

All morning, edit current image not working. Won't let me open edit window, just sits there blank. I walked away and left it running for about 15 minutes then it was up.
Update, edit window working now but can't submit the changes.

I'm getting a "certificate not found" message when I try to work the site on Safari. "Certificate not on file" kind of thing, with the option to continue anyway, but when I click "continue" there was another error message. If I hit the "back" button, I was able to continue without any further interference. This happened at least half a dozen times. If you like I can get the exact wording of the messages, assuming it's still doing it.

I switched over to FireFox and have been commenting here and there without problems, so my uneducated guess is it's something to do with Safari.

All you need to do is watch out and add again what comes after the apostrophe.

i logged into pixels. then i logged out of pixels. now every time i load up fineart, it shows pixels. while it's the same thing, if i was a customer thinking these were two different sites, it would be confusing.

not to mention if we have new products there, and not here on this site - where i send people too already, then i may lose sales because they are looking for the newer non paper items. i think they should be offered on all sites not just the new one. after all if you go to the MET, you can buy all kinds of fine art on every kind of product. the art is the fine art part, not the product.

You have probably heard it at least a thousand times already, but I am STILL unable to upload photos. It gets half-way and then stops, but the clock ticks on. . .thousands of seconds before I just quit. I'd love to get more things up. Any timeline on fixing this problem?

Add me to the list of unhappy campers. I went to make a minor edit on a existing image, and it keeps going back to the same edit page.

This frequent Sunday/weekend FAA website issue is really getting old. I'd rather have that fixed permanently before any new product is offered.

And full-resolution preview isn't working either.

i'm getting sporadic mail and i don't think i got a sales notice today. this is usually the early warning that we'll have problems with uploads later.

When I share a gallery from my artistswebsite on twitter (i.e. my Quebec gallery) it creates a link to the complete "Quebec" Fine Art America artwork instead of only my photography artwork. When I only copy my gallery link over to the twitter share window, after the share it states website can't be found ~ not that I don't like to spread the joy but would love to just sometimes share my own gallery. Ever since I started using FAA a couple of years ago, the multiple image uploader works really badly for me. Everything seems fine when I select and upload the images, but when I click Submit after entering all the data, almost every time at least one of them gives me the error "failed to upload", as if the image had no pixels. Then I have to start over again, entering all the data again. Needless to say, this is very frustrating and prevents me from uploading more images. I am on Mac using Firefox, both with up-to-date software.

I would like to make this my primary print sales website, as I think the printing and framing options are great, but this is a BIG negative. Are there any plans to create a better uploader or a desktop uploader like many other services offer?

Grrrrrrrr....I don't know if it's been mentioned in recent weeks, other than me several days ago, but PLEASE do whatever it takes to have the full-res preview work at least 98 percent of the time. I think it's about 50 percent now, so what is the point of having it?

Aha! I knew I wasn't the only one with broken thumbnails! Barbara, did you just edit this image recently? If you did it today, check back tomorrow. When the site updates during the night tonight, the thumbnail will fix itself. If you edited it a while ago, you may now need to reupload the image. The way to know if you need to reupload is to open the edit window on the image. If the thumbnail there is just a dot, you need to reupload your high-resolution image.

My image Hershel Roosters has had a broken thumbnail for over a week now. Could it be fixed please?

Please fix my broken thumb nail on Golden Sunset on my FAA site. However it is fine on the AW side...but that image on AW is not coming up on Google search only the FAA image link is coming up and that's the one broken in my water gallery. I have this metal print in an exhibition right now and I want it showing if you please.

Trying to edit some images, when I hit the sumit button it just keeps going back to the upload new artwork page

1) As mentioned in my earlier post when I share a complete gallery from my artistswebsite on twitter (i.e. my Quebec gallery) it creates a link to the complete "Quebec" Fine Art America inventory instead of only my photography artwork gallery and content. I just tried to edit my "Golden Sunset" image to see if I could get the thumb nail working - Nope now it just bumps me back to the unload page and it made it worse.... If I don't see it fix or hear back from someone I'll be filling a ticket to tech first thing tomorrow morning. - This is important.. Come on Sean, please hit the refresh key. I need this working.

I can put all the information in BUT when it asks if there is a fee I say NO. Then it says to type in X,XXX.XX for the fee.
It will not work. I think there is a bug in the system.......
I have tried many, many times and it will not let me post the event because of this error.

If you go to my artistwebsites site - http://mark-david-gerson.artistwebsites.com - and click on the "artwork" tab underneath my bio and profile pic, all 31 images that I have posted show up. However, if you go instead to the tabs at the top of the page and click on "artwork," only 21 images show up (see image). Has anyone else experienced this anomaly? I tried clearing my cache and switching browsers (Safari to Chrome), but it made no difference.

In my group I admin for, the amount of images are set to 2 and people are still adding 3 or 4 and going over the limit. How can this be stopped.

My print prices are showing different on the image page than they are in the image link.

Can't upload. Keep timing out.

I did have someone buy a card of this image about 2 months ago, and it was working fine then.

@EB, you got a broken thumbnail too, huh? I've had hundreds of these lately, and others have reported it too. If all you see is a dot where your image should be on the edit page, then, yes, you have to reupload the image.

How do I stop people over posting in my group, the group is set to 2 a day and people can still find a way around this.
This needs to be fixed and no one has done anything about it. Who do I contact???

I was not Spamming LOL - I sent an email to all group members of MOUSE to announce the recent contest winners - it glitched and copied the contents of the messages three times....

@ Tracy, the limit on images only stops over posting if the member enters images on the group page.

If they are uploading new work and check the little boxes in the edit screen it goes directly to the group without any limit stops.... I wish the limits would work on that screen too, but it doesn't so I often get over limit submissions on MOUSE too.... I don't even think the submitter knows they are over.

All my messages that I entered yesterday morning in discussions are gone. *poof* Like I didn't even exist or type them in. Which I did.

Hi! I am the administrator of the Memories and Nostalgia group. The group is supposed to be set up to receive only one image per day. This is even included in the name and the messages I send to the group. However, people are still able to submit more than one image per day, one of which I remove myself. Would you please fix this bug in my group? Many thanks!

I am thinking of allowing 1 image a day now until this bug is fixed in the group, I love photography 2 a day.

Barbara, If people edit there photos on the edit screen and they add them, it should come up and say, This group only allows 2 images a day.

I still can't order my own iphone cover without the markup. I am logged into Pixels.com as soon as I click on my picture, it switches me over to FAA with no Iphone. When I am on my own website, I can't order it without my markup.

Twice in the past day, as I am uploading a new image I get the "FAA undergoing maintenance" message in the white window. And then the site works immediately.

I think everyone reading this knows how ANNOYED I am right now.

I would appreciate a response as to how the site can be "undergoing maintenance" one second and then be up and running immediately.

And I was on Pixels.com, if that matters.

That's not really what that message means, Susan. What it really means is "your upload failed." I don't know WHY that's the error message the site is set to default to when an upload fails, but it is what it is. That's why the site works just fine immediately after you see that message. This site isn't undergoing any maintenance at all. It's a very misleading error message that really means you have to upload your file again because it didn't work the first time. Annoying, yes, but stuff happens.

You might get a kick out of this:

I use Safari for Macintosh, which has a default window called Top Sites. It's a page full of little thumbnails of the sites you visit most often. You can use that page to create visual bookmarks of the sites you visit the most (your "top sites"). If you don't manually set which little thumbnails will appear, Safari populates the page with images of the pages you have recently visited the most. It changes with your browsing habits. If you visit the same page a lot and you don't visit enough different sites in a given period, you might see the same thumbnail several times on the Top Sites page.

I have been editing all 1400+ plus of my images over the course of the last six weeks. So I've been on FAA a lot. At this time, SIX of my 12 top sites thumbnails are that white page that says "FAA is currently undergoing maintenance." Kinda funny, in an annoying sort of way ;-)

Yes, Susan, it could be that your upload is timing out. And it's hard to know why that's happening, could be anywhere along the path from you to FAA.

The reason I found my Safari thing so annoyingly funny is because what the top sites shows is the pages I see the most. Having six of my 12 be the "FAA is undergoing maintenance" means I have seen that page wayyyyy too many times in the last six weeks! :-D

Seems like uploading in the Artist Website worked for me right now instead of on the FAA side.

People are still adding 3 images to the group when the filter is set to Two images a day. I have to keep deleting the extra images and causes

When I try to edit an image and hit "submit", it takes me back to the "Upload New Artwork" page. Also the site has been acting buggy all morning. It's taking a long time to load a page. "400" server error messages.

While trying to fix the issues of "shop" on FB and only having numbers litsted on that page I followed the steps given to fix. I disabled the FB from FAA. When I went back to enable it won't let me.

When you upload or edit an image, the Twitter feed has not been working since Friday.

Not sure of this is an error or is just the way it works...since sponsoring a link actually uses HTML to send you to the specific website.

Sponsored words from FAA do not carry over to sponsored words on PIXELS. I was sponsoring terms yesterday while logged into pixels when I realized words I had sponsored on FAA previously were not sponsored on pixels.

When logged in to pixels and doing a search for a term that is sponsored on FAA, I have the option to sponsor a term again...my photos don't show in the 3rd row. When logged out of pixels and into FAA and searching the same term, my photos show in the 3rd row like normal.

I have not logged into the other FineArts mirror sites to check either.

If that's the way it works, no problem, I just want to know so I can go back and sponsor the same terms on pixels, and as I sponsor new terms, do them on both.

Andee, I'm having a problem too. Have uploaded an image, it uploads fine, I fiddle around with the edit page, go to hit submit ... and the edit page comes back with no image. This is on Safari. I'm going to go try it on Firefox see if that works better.

I cant upload an image, it will not show up at all. Geez there are so many things on here that are going wrong

I'm trying to upload a painting. The painting has red areas in it. When I upload it here, all the red areas are orange instead. I don't have this problem with the same painting on Red Bubble or Zazzle. How do I upload it here so all the red is red?

Had a sale yesterday - only found out today from comments on it... still no email. Checked spam folder, not their either. This is the first one I've never gotten.

I still can not use pixels.com. I submitted a ticket to tech support, and listed in the pixel thread and did not receive a response. I have never been able to use it with either firefox, or chrome, or private browsing on firefox, logged out or logged in to FAA makes no difference. As soon as I click on any image thumbnail it kicks me out of pixels and into FAA.

i'm missing random email again. it's usually the precursor of bad uploads. i'm getting most forum mail, i'm missing sales mail. and i might be missing customer support mail, because i was expecting a reply and i sent in something and got no replies back at all.

When I click on "Activity", it will try to download the html file. A new glitch is when I click on "Activity", it will direct me to a "webpage not found" page. When it doesn't do one of those two things, it takes a long time to load.

This evening I've been having trouble posting some images to the discussions.

Your IMAGE is too large. The maximum size limit is 25.0 MB. Try uploading a smaller image.

I tried uploading 2 separate images; one is 12.9Mb, one is 17.3Mb. The uploader reports both sizes to be a bit larger than my file system says but nowhere near the 25Mb limit. The upload progress bar gets to 100% and then just sits there; the size does not change but the time keeps ticking away. Eventually I cancel out and it gives me the message above.

I tried clearing my browser cache, restarting my computer, making sure no other programs were vying for bandwidth or memory - all to no avail. I see others have reported a problem, just wanted to let you know I encountered it too. I'm in San Francisco CA, and I use IE 10.

Too many crickets running around on my porch. Timing out isn't even working correctly!

x 9.38" It should start at $30 and go up from there.

@michael - make sure that all the images are checked off when you change the price, it will only select the first 25, there is another check box that lets you choose the rest of it. then they should all change. also make sure you have price tags in all the sizes you want to sell.

I'm updating my website and I was looking at the shopping widgets. I noticed for the stand-alone shop that the issue of being able to choose mats and frames has been resolved. (Thank you, Sean!) However, when I click on one of my images for the iPhone, the option to purchase the iPhone case does not come up. An error message comes up that is titled Size Restriction. Then it says to select a different product from the options above. Only there aren't any options.

Forgive me if this has already been reported and addressed. I just got it now.

Hi, i have a wordpress.com website and i can not get the shopping cart or the gallery to load onto my page, i copy and paste into the page or widget and it just comes up with abbreviated code, a blank box and nothing works, help

I'm getting a "page not found" message when I try and scroll through my images - intermittently, like every 3rd image.

Having trouble uploading again; this time the upload itself finishes and I get the page where I fill out information for the artwork, when I click on Submit, though, the browser says Waiting for fineamerica.com and spins and spins and nothing happens for minutes on end, until I get discouraged and cancel the browser action. When I then hit refresh I'm back at the starting screen for Upload your artwork. I'm in San Francisco and using IE 10.

"Edit Image" doesn't work...I was changing some details and submit doesn't work...it's all suspended. I'm using Chrome.

No email notification for both sales since 8/15. One today and the other earlier in the month.

I'm having trouble editing my work today, when I click save the page just hangs and doesn't finish. Tried with firefox and Chrome neither one worked.

It's taking a long time to load the edit page. Sometimes it won't load and I have to reload the page several times. Also, the issue I reported earlier about it trying to download an html document when I click on "Activity" is still going on as well as it taking a long time to load my activity stream.

Pages are taking a really long time to load - especially the "Activity" feed. The "Activity" page won't load at times and the last time I clicked on it, I was logged out. Also, the last time I tried to post on this thread I was logged out.

Yup, me too. It started last night about 9:00 eastern. Got the "undergoing maintenance" screen when scrolling around, then waited about 5 minutes for a photo to upload, then got logged out, etc., etc.

Okay here is an interesting bug. There are several images on FAA of White Buffalo (in fact one of them is mine); however, if you do a search using the term "White Buffalo", you only get products by a user whose username happens to be "White Buffalo", in this case a bunch of jewelry. It makes me wonder if a search can be hijacked by creating a username for that search term.

I keep getting email in my personal email when someone posts in a particular discussion. Every time, I click on the "stop following this discussion" link in my email, I get the FAA screen that says "you will no longer receive yada yada...." and an hour later, I start getting notifications in my email again when someone posts to that discussion....

Trying to add a photo to an event and it will not let me....Everything is complete....just need my photo. It tells me to add a photo if I try to submit, but will not let me add the photo. Ugh!

Abbie, I just emailed you in Support - didn't remember I had posted, above, yesterday, about Edit not working. It STILL keeps going back to the Edit page after I hit Submit, and the edit I tried to do doesn't happen.

Please advise.
EDIT: I just read part of this thread from May 31 where Kristi Craft had the same issue then and in August others as well. This is time-consuming for us so why can't it be fixed permanently? If something is going on in the web site - and I'm on Pixels right now though Pixels didn't exist last May - we should at least be alerted so we won't do pointless work.

i'm almost certain this is when they back up the servers, what ever it is, it's very process consuming and always now. sunday there will be complaints of no uploads, monday will have a few problems and then it will smooth out till next thur. which is when the mail sends every 6th piece.

I am constantly getting a script page every time I log in and try to go to my account from the 'recently sold' or announcement page. This has been ongoing for a couple weeks. Also when clicking on images in discussions that I would like to comment on It takes me to pixels.com and not the person profile page.

Two minutes later - shut down Safari and restarted - everything is fine. The sun is even shining.

The recently Sold Page is still only a few pix ....7....mostly from the same account.

When I log in and the recent sales come up I see the same 7 sales -- no others - Sales to Dallas, TX. At first I thought this was my android problem, but logging in on my pc does the same. It seems to be stuck on these sales. What's up???????

I think the recently sold page being short has something to do with the fact that some people are reporting that their faa sales last night were classified as instaprint sales rather that faa sales.

It was yesterday that I updated picture of one of my pieces, To hit "upload new image" then you have to rewrite all of your titles and info.... on a mobile device, however.
So I hit the "edit image" button and I have not seen any Change. Thanks.
The mobile device version has definitely improved a lot Though.

I see something awkward regarding keyword for my image "Heath Ledger as joker" image- http://fineartamerica.com/featured/heath-ledger-as-joker-g-nande.html
I have used "joker" as my 1st keyword but my image (in fact no others images) don't come for this keyword. Though it appears (and others also) when use my other keywords like Heath Ledger etc. I uploaded this images yesterday ( 08-09-2013) and did not update the keywords. If this is a bug then kindly fix it because its not possible that no image come for word "Joker" whereas there are many images of jokers..

Search is doing something strange. It's giving a "page not found" when I'm searching just now. It won't go to page 2 of whatever results come up. Also I have an apostrophe in a title (which is also in my keywords), and when I use that in the search box, the screen at the top of the page is putting about 20 slashes in the word instead of the apostrophe.

i do know you want to avoid apostrophes, besides being a pain to spell, they break up titles and do other odd things. not sure why though. the slash is a mystery, try chatting and adding a - ' --- and you'll get /' every time. can/'t - makes me look like i can't spell.

Well, I've been trying other searches with just plain text and there's still something wrong with the search right now. It's still giving me "page not found" messages intermittently.....

Not getting my messages?? I get notice that 3 messages have been sent to me so I get to FAA and there are no messages for me.

Last night I reported something under contact us and I have not seen any replies to my concerns. I have a member in my group that has no artwork whatsoever but belongs to at least a dozen FAA groups. Please someone explain this.

My photos aren't uploading at all...this has been going on for some time...

FAA Facebook page icon on the top of the pages says; Access Denied ????

At first I thought I needed to sign in to my fb page but nope that didn't work. If you click on the F button it goes nowhere (one quick flash and that's it)

Thought you should know...

Oh and I had to re-enable my fb in behind the scene too.... that just stopped working but my shopping cart seems to be fine..... but my new artwork uploads stopped loading to my page.

My viewer stats are down again.

Sorry lately I have been here to often. I have same problem of an image disapearing from my gallery. The space is blank were the image goes. The second I have to report that besides those money proposals through the FAA messages now they are sending to my private email. So they must gotten hold my email.

Uploader intermittent tonight, Wednesday. Just got the maintenance page and I have to try again.

Yup, statistics/visitors toolbar in "Behind the Scenes" seems to have gone out for a breath of fresh air :)....Been that way since about an hour ago.

FYI, you can get to statistics by scrolling down to the visitor icons further down the page, but yep, noticed the same thing, the 'navigation menu' at the top is missing at the moment even though the text at the top of the page still mentions it being there.

Unable to Edit Existing Artwork this morning. Let's me open it and make changes, but once I hit Submit, it stays endlessly on Please Wait. Browser (Chrome) states that it's waiting on reply from Fine Art America. I'll try again later this afternoon.

This seems to be an error but may be something else - please advise.

I just loaded a very large image 360" X 15" - That is well within the minimum 6"X6" required for canvas prints. However, when looking at sizes available for canvas prints, I receive the message that the image is not large enough. It presents available sizes in all other print media.

I'm unable to edit an image. Submit just hangs.

Ok, it let me edit, but it wiped out all my prices on the image it was fussy about. I got it to work, but somethings not right.

Today, I tried to log into Pixels while leaving the FAA site open in another window. I did my thing in Pixels and then logged out. It also logged me out of FAA! Is that suppose to happen?

I click on the Behind the scenes and it takes me to all the business pages.

Paul, FAA's max is 108" long. If printed at 108", the height on your panorama is less than 6".

There's a general slowness when loading all pages. Viewer stats page is definitely down. One image I recently posted says there are only three views but if you look at "view recent" it lists around 20 viewers.

unable to upload, it just twirls around afterwards and will not finish.

I can't send a reply comment on my work. I just get the spinning "working" symbol.

Also, apparently I'm not the only one not receiving email notifications about sold work.

i guess this isn't a bug, but it should be something that should be looked into, now that abbie showed us that we can change the alt text that i've been ignoring all this time - if i add an apostrophe as in mike savad's art - it will cut everything off from that point on. i think if you have alt or title text that has ' ' already then the system should some how recognize that there is a third one and remove it.

but better still i would rather just see a preview of what i just put in.

Still can't access Behind the scenes, for contests and statistics etc. to vote in contests etc.

Jaxine, once you click on "Behind the Scenes", you have access to everything that you need. Your Stats are in the section titled Statistics, about half way down the page. It was convenient when the tabs were there at top, but you just have to scroll down a little bit and all the links that were available in the tabs are still available in "Behind the Scenes".

This is the third day that the Behind The Scenes Toolbar is not showing and I have to scroll down to see those things that were readily available in tabs. update--- operator error! thanks for the help. For others, make sure you agree to each of the questions about facebook you are asked. You can then delete the feature of generating a post for each picture you publish.

Comments that I write are not registering on any pages.....

There is a problem when I try to make a comment directly in Activity. The result is the spinning symbol that many here have complained about numerous times, including in this thread.

The annoying solution is to go to the image's featured page (with the pricing information) and comment there. It works immediately, but why have the Activity page comment option if it doesn't work? Please fix this.

Will someone please fix the "I do not want to follow this discussion" or whatever it's called. I keep clicking on the "I don't want to follow....." in my email, I get the message that I will no longer be notified when someone posts to that discussion and a few days later, I open my email and there are 50 notifications from that same discussion. I never click on the "I want to be follow..." box either. In fact, I make sure it's NOT checked. Someone please, please fix this, it's very annoying - thanks.

my inter faa e mail does not work, it hasn't worked for over a year now.

I can't upload any new work using firefox, on save they just hang. I'm off to try Chrome, wish me luck!!

Also had a problem earlier with pop up images on activity feed hanging with firefox, On Chrome they were ok.

My announcement page does not have a google button and i am on my google chrome book.

Can't upload images or edit existing photo's.

just for a lark i put my own name in the forum search it shows like 10,000 results, and i'm like yowsers! ... but that sounds right, so i clicked on page 10 and the pages were blank. i'm sure there is a logicial explanation, yet it makes it more confusing when someone wants to do a search even if it's in closed threads.

Uploading images today has been hit or miss. More miss than hits. Very very frustrating.

full res image not working....

i don't know if it's a bug or should be a feature, but i was looking at the phone cases and it shows different views. but all the views are white which is confusing since you want to see your image wrapped around the phone like they show on zazzle.

also pixels has both phone cases, and the artist site only has the one.

Did we lose a menu bar on the behind the scenes page of our profiles? I used this menu bar quite a bit as it made it easy to check recent views, comments, etc. Now i have to scroll down the page and search amongst all the logos for the same links. Was there a reason this functionally was eliminated?

i'm putting this under bugs because of how the site is set up.

if i sell a phone, and advertise it, when i click on that phone it goes to my public fine art site - and not my private site or pixels - where it was bought from. so if they want a cover also, they will have a really hard time finding it because that's where the link ends up.

Full preview box isn't working.....

My Norton software is putting all FAA emails in my spam folder again. I just wonder what buyers think when this happens.

Not sure what is happening but my prices are reset daily...I set them yesterday and today they're all gone again...( not only prints but cards and iPhone cases as well ) Thank You for looking into it...

i'm reporting this as a bug, i sent this to tech and customer service last night and i didn't get any reply

i had an order last night where he wanted a coupon, so i gave it to him. he said he want two. he said he ordered 2 but i only see one.

is it possible that there is fluke in there? or is it possible that he thinks he bought one of mine, but it wasn't. yet he said that the discount worked on both so i'm confused.

for the heck of it, i tried logging into the design site. couldn't get in, i knew that. when i came back here, not only did i have their logo, but i could use the forum. and it took me 3 times to enter my name before it would accept me into FAA, even though the address said FAA, the logo and login disagreed with that.

Not sure what end this problem is on but, on my iPad with the new io7 installed my prices are shown in British pounds instead of American dollar. It's in dollars on my PC tho. ????

if you look on the right you'll see a shadow on the bottom part and behind medium and that's it. i think it would look better without any shadow there at all. and the vote type boxes seem to have a shadow all the way around making it look inconsistent with the rest. and the shadow under art prints is in the wrong direction compared to the rest most go to the right, framed prints goes down, and art goes to the left.

i would still like to have all the tags at the bottom, it would make it cleaner looking.

No email notifications when there is an internal message here last couple of days, probably ties into people not getting sale emails...

The slide show feature only shows the first 10 images - is that all it can do? Anything I need to do to have it scroll through all the images I have listed?
Also, I see lots of questions here - very few answers. Where do we go for answers if not here?

I checked a few other originals for sale in my gallery and others. They all show the same extraneous code.

the listing for iphone cases appears on the FAA side of things - whether you sell it on pixels or not. and there is no phone cases on this side anyway. even though i think it would sell better nudge nudge.

this is one of the downsides to having so many duplicate sites. each time the software is updated you have to do it to 5 other sites. and if one site doesn't have one feature its confused on all the other sites.

All my images on FAA, not other faa/sites................now offer new tags not placed by me, and I cannot remove via edit - iphone cases - which I do not offer at faa (which doesn't sell them anyway)..........every one of my images has these new 'iphone' tags that I can't remove..........how can I possibly cope with that impossibility - ??????
Please fix this........it's basic..............I'm not on pixels, and don't want to sell iphone cases...............

I've visited other FAA pages of locals, and every one has iPhone cases in their tags at FAA.....but FAA doesn't sell iPhone cases.
It's not just me !
But, surely this is known at Hq .....

I'm trying to scroll through a contest to vote (not just looking at the thumbnails), and the site keeps freezing up. Verryyyy slooowww to load today. It's annoying. I want to look at all the images, but at this rate it's going to take me 2 hours.

High res image not working on my larger formats ...

What Kathy said above - however I've found the high res only works intermittently. I can click on one part of an image and it works, and I click on another part of the same image and it doesn't work. It's been like that for about 3 days now.

Post removed. I guess this issue has been fixed. The full resolution preview is still not fixed, however.

I've noticed a persistent long-term error for pages where people are selling originals. This probably started with the advent of Pixels.com. There is a code fragment that's not being processed properly, related to which site you're logged in on:

Such an error could conceivably cause concern or distraction on the part of would-be buyers, and should probably be rectified!

There are buttons of votes and social services under each photo. You can see the number of votes, views and reactions on social sites concerning each photo. But if you reload the page, all the numbers dissapear and you cannot see them anymore... (number of votes, stumbleupon reactions, pins, retwittes and so on) Why?

I don't get sales and comment notices per email.

On my larger files, I've been unable to get green box inset detail views for at least several days.

Try this file, for example. I'll bet you can't get an inset. Just an unending progress bar, probably connection until timeout:

i'm getting a lot of lag, and other people's feed in my comments. on one load, the comments didn't load at all.

Upload not working - multi-uploader just stays at 0% - jumps to 80% and back to 0% occasionally with a single work, other stay at 0% all the time. Problems there or with the line?

PS. Could there be a subtitle on community ->discussions, news etc level for technical problems? Would be easier to find this threat.

Again getting 502 Bad Gateway if click on the pictures, the other pages are opening but with click on the image icon only 502 Bad Gateway or empty page.

I joined a couple days ago, and tried sending myself a test email through that "Contact" page. I never received the test message, even after numerous attempts the past couple days.
Also, the success page says "E-Mail to Successful!". Notice that my name is missing from that success message, which tells me something is wrong.

Funny thing is, if I type the email address I registered with in the "From" field, it will send the message fine. But if I use any other email address, it fails.

I sent tech support a message, but no response.

@james, check your junk mail folder, the one with the code goes to your mailbox at home. but faa mail often ends up as junk mail, same with sales notices.

In pixels.com, where it shows Pictures NOT in Gallery , I do the edit, to add in the price, and then Submit. But, the addition doesn't come up for any of the additional pictures. The gallery remains at 45 total count.

It is now going into the third day, attempting to add to the pixels gallery. I can't believe that 45 is the limit or that there would be a limit.

The first day, I loaded far more than 45 which fills 2 pages. So I have to believe that there is some kind of glitch as to why it will NOT automatically go and load pictures to a third page.

Full resolution preview has not been working right for over a week now. It will work on part of an image but not other parts, or not at all. It's very "hit and miss".

On the iPad there is no longer a link to contests. Under community, it lists everything but contests.

Also the code you cut and paste to put images in forums or elsewhere is often incorrect. Much of my work is listed as a "Photography Print" when you hover over it and they are not photos so this can be confusing for buyers.

EDIT - it's working sometimes. Still intermittent.

i don't seem to be getting much of my forum mail. last time this happened, there was a full cache directory, can that be emptied? i'm thinking it's related somehow.

Can't get Facebook icon to work on homepage - tried all the suggestions....

Have been trying to upload same photo for over two hours. Will upload to the information page, but will not submit the information to the display page. The working Icon just sits there and spins with a message, "Waiting for fineartamerica." Have tried multiple times. May try to upload through my website.

Update: Uploading from my artistwebsites page worked fine. Go figure.

when i do a search that facebook twitter thing at the bottom loads up. it's slow and distracting. i am part of both of them. i would think that since i clicked on it it would just go away. i wish there was a way to remove it. it's very distracting and it really shouldn't appear on the search page. i'm placing it as a bug since both things are checked off as yes, so one would think it shouldn't bug me after every search. this would be better at the very bottom as a general link.

there also seems to be more space where the price is now, i think it would look better a bit tighter.

i also loaded a page (only happened once), and some of the results had blanks in it. like there was a line of 2 then the rest were ok.
