Ever Tried To Find Your Own Paintings By Doing A Search On Faa?

Too many lions and lambs, even if narrowed down to Medium Paintings.
But I searched for Ark, Gloria,
and it is right there

So which other ones don't show up ?

there are many lions and lambs i'm pretty sure. though if you were looking for it as a phrase, you won't find it unless you list it as a phrase.

so it would have to be listed in the tags as lion and lamb,lion & lamb,lion,lions,lamb,lambs, etc.

Yep they are back about 4,000+ and pehaps 100 pages deep - Search will not find your works unless they have a very unique tag/key word - and if no one is looking for that specific tag/keyword - it's still lost. Do NOT depend on search from the outside to find you or your work. IF you do a search of my name - you will come upon a watercolor art site - there is nothing there but my name - I closed the account years ago - but my name, and apparently the account still exists - even though I also no longer have that ISP or web address.

and why would you go looking for your own work - just one your gallery or profile images - there they are.

the words I was using in my search were lion and lamb and I narrowed the medium to paintings. I have those exact words in my key words but maybe it's just that they haven't been there long enough.

it really depends on the word then. if you can tell us the word it would be easier to help. but something like lion or sunset or the like will be very popular. sometimes you can narrow it if you use the field your looking for - like ceramic or painting.

Mike, I was searching for words I knew were in my key words. I hadn't thought of adding my own name to my key words though. Thanks for the tip. I understand my work may be at the back of the search, that wasn't the issue on the certain painting I was looking for.

well, if you look when you enter a word, it will tell you the number of results found. Some words will say "10000+" Sometimes one is in the "+" section...

and even though it says 10000+, the search results will not change after page 200, so that is 7200 results.

edit: I actually have 6 on that page...*sigh*

There are five reasons images are not found in search

The keywords do not contain the actual word being searched for (including a name which should be searched for in the artists directory, not the art search)
The keywords have not been on the site for over 24 hours
The images have a safe filter on
The images are in password protected galleries
They are past the end page we show for any one search, which is 200

it depends on your search. like if your looking for lion, and you typed lions, but don't have lions as a tag, you won't find it. plus you'll be in the back unless you can increase your views, comments, and other things on this site, and sellers are always first. if you look for something that no one else probably has, you'll be higher.

which words were you using? and are you adding your own name in case someone is trying to narrow down your work.
