Those old cathode creations were bulky, often set on spindly, thin metal legs and those rabbit ears? Well if you didn't have to constantly get up and move them around just so... you were the remote. Imagine. Having to actually get up -- go over to the set to change channels and fiddle with those @%$^##__! rabbit ears to try and improve reception.

Ah...the bad ol' days ;)

Here's my entry. It actually sits on top of my refrigerator. This is the radio we tune into each morning to listen to the news on WBZ as we get ready for the day. We bought it over 40 years ago from the Playboy Club catalogue. As I'm typing this, my husband, the packrat, pulls out three Playboy Club executive key cards.

Mike , there were tubes in old computers, I saved them for a mixed media work.

i have enough old stuff there, it must be there, but i may have skipped the keywords. which is why they are so important, because even if i was more outgoing, i would still need to be able to find my own work and if i can't find it, well that's no good.

I went through some of your galleries the other day, Mike and I could swear I saw more than one radio as well. Shared hallucination...hmmm
