A Threat To Photographers

A new law going the British Parliament is going to make it almost risk-free to steal photographs. Since the internet knows no borders, photographers all over the world could have their work "taken" legally. Read more about this act of stupidity here

If you live in the United Kingdom sign the petition near the bottom of the article.

Thanks for letting us know. Not sure what the average person can do...

there are a couple of epithets I could throw in here - but this was out days ago. Someone needs to READ the bill before screaming and shouting, jumping up and down about what might come to pass - the only thing for certain - death and for sure they will be raising our taxes. Certainly seems to me there are more important topics for Parliament or even our Congress to work on than this.

What goes around ... comes around ?

We need more sales, in order to pay our taxes, to help the world economy, so they can hire more officials in the Copyright Law Dept., to chase down and prosecute the copyright offenders
of our stolen work, :)))

It's good that a circle can be drawn, right to left or left to right !

I'm in the U.S., but I expect it won't be long before they pull the same crap here, too.

If you show it on the internet expect it to be stolen. Even if someone invents a program so that our images can't be stolen, someone else will invent a program that will bypass the program......

No doubt, but the real problem is that the government has practically said they'll rergard it as "legal" and do nothing to help you enforce your copyright.
