According to legend, "Lake Superior seldom gives up her dead". This is because of the unusually low temperature of the water, estimated at under 36 °F (2 °C) on average. The sandy beach along Whitefish Point is an exciting place to look for banded agates, especially after a storm or to take a walk along the sandy shoreline and enjoy the magic of Lake Superior.

I am not quite certain how to post an image to this discussion do any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you very much!
I am addicted to sunsets...no doubt about it! I sit and wait for them to unfold on the days when it's not raining or grey out. This sunset was captured on Valentine's Day and it couldn't have turned out better with the heart shape in the sky!

Sunset on the Seine
A wonderful photograph capturing the sun setting on the Seine river, Paris. The final minutes of sunshine light the sky and river blue, while the buildings reflect the golden glow of the sun.

I captured an interesting sky recently but needed to add more elements to it. I made use of some downloaded free paintbrushes of birds and sunbeams to complete the piece. The birds are silhouetted against the sky to give the sky added dynamics. I believe the result is rather goth-like...

Hello FAA,
I just wanted to share with you a new piece that I have recently finished. It is called "Venice Passing By". It is a landscape painting (this is rare for me) of the Venice landscape. I have always wanted to do this ever since I was a child and looking through the windows of Art galleries and Art stores and seeing this landscape rendered. These were the kind of paintings that inspired me to paint. My decision to finally take on this challenge happened when I finally got a chance to visit Venice earlier this year. Please have a view of this piece whenever you get a chance. This project has ticked a lot of boxes for me.
Thank you,

Bad Weather. Portrait of a hooded crow camped on the stony parapet of the river embankment. You can easily see that the weather is bad, and it is cold outside. The feathered buddy is evidently displeased. After all, he has no cold-protective boots and nobody shows the slightest interest in buying him some warming drink. This beautiful portrait can be used to frighten out of senses any person of your elaborate choice during forthcoming Halloween festivities. You can also display your courage and buy large size canvas to decorate some premises of yours (or your enemies) or to add it to your wonderful collection of fine art as an adorable masterpiece of the art of light painting (if you manage to find any light in this picture). The poor creature was not at all harmed in the making of this photography, and the weather is still bad and rainy, and no sun, and no light. Gosh! it is so cold outside! PS By the way - awesome logotype for the prosperous messenging company. :-)

Heartsinking. Yellow leaf on the surface of an old pond full of drowned leaves. This is the autumn season. The season of priming for a dreamless sleep. This beautiful piece of art is intended for watching and sighing for the old days of summer, old days of life. But if you are not in the mood to sigh deeply and pathethically you can erect a mast on the board of this yellow ship, set sail and go for autumn adventures. I am personally is in the mood for the first but really prefer the second. And do remember that the heart sinks every time before the rapid takeoff. So, let us wish this brave yellow ship good sailing. No items of flora and fauna were harmen in the making of this masterpiece, though the weather was disturbed badly. You are free to buy this awesome piece of fine art or leave it alone in the cold winds of the Internet. You may choose the second, I am prefer the first.

This was captured with my new Nikon 820 this after noon,
this dragon fly may have blown in from the river or a near by pond in the neighborhood, its wings were still wet with membrane in the first photo, the second photo he flew from the wrong iron fence and went into the next yard from the coffee shop I was sitting outside having coffee, in the second photo I let it remain and the wings were getting translucent, in the first photo the wings looked like tissue paper...

Here is a photo I am posting, here in New Orleans we have a street called Magazine Street famous for all its antique stores which are located from the Lower Garden District to the upper Garden District. The business are plentiful of restaurants, clothing shops, you name it...but only in New Orleans would you find a beautiful carved marble statue adorn with a Orange Witches Hat, picture me on a bike traveling home, with camera in my back pack, hit the handle bar brakes and almost flipped the bike and myself over as I was glancing at all the store front windows....lol

@ Alexandr
Upload pix to forum.........how to.......................
How do I put one of my images from my galleries into the discussions or on another page?
Next to each image , where it says "LINK" is some HTML code which makes a ‘badge’ to use on other sites or in the discussions. Now, right click is disabled to help stop theft so how do you get hold of that code? Highlight it by clicking in the left edge of the box.
When highlighted, click ctrl + C on your keyboard […] - different with a Mac !

These two photos where taken Saturday night on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana To kick off Halloween there was a large parade through the French Quarter to Canal Street and then the float designer held a large Halloween Costume party,,,,,,I took this photo of these two subjects on Bourbon Street, both are pretty amazing and took hours to assemble. Participants travel far and near to take part in the big mask gathering the weekend before Halloween, similar to a small Mardi Gras.
