Spring has finally reached us here in Madison. One of the first natives to flower is the bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis). We had our first bloodroot flowers today. Enjoy

In the weeks since the beginning of spring we've had fluctuating weather in Salt Lake -- first moderate temperatures, then unusually cold temps along with snow, and now record highs. Not good for the flowers so I turned my attention to dandelions (which don't seem to suffer in any conditions).
