Beautiful Detroit Lake And Bend Oregon

I was in these 2 areas today and Bend was warm and beautiful like normal with its desert look and appeal. Then I shot over to Detriot Lake and Hoodoo where the mountains still had snow, passed by waterfalls, lakes, mountains.......and didn't take 1 picture because I was sick : (. Talk about a real bummer. I didn't have the strength to get out of the car and take pictures. Slept a lot in the car. But Oregon is funny because u drive for 1 hour, its sunny and warm in the desert, drive another and its snow and cold in the mountains, drive another hour and your at the coast with rain and wind. LOL! That's Oregon for you : )

Hope u are all feeling better than me and had a good weekend!!

So. California is where I was raised from age five, after my family moved from Wisconsin. Through the career years I job hopped between northern and southern areas of the state. The career took to Reno, Nevada for five years, and then came the decision to head for Oregon.

My career years ended with retirement in Portland, where I worked as an artist for the Oregonian. Eight years in Beaverton, west of Portland, and then the move to Salem for about two years. From there, came the move to so. Oregon, and I love it most because you can head out, hit the road, go about 50 miles in any direction to find yourself in the midst of awesome beauty. It stirs the both the artist and photographer in me with endless inspiration.

Yes I agree. When your here you don't realize how beautiful it is out here. I've traveled to other states and you see a different beauty but you don't see the green like you do here. Looks like you know what I mean "Shasta Eone"! Glad to hear your history with this state : )
