Gallery Logos

Just a quick note to remind all of you to make sure that the image you use as your gallery logo should be at least one of the top 5 images in this gallery.

I have gone to so many of your galleries to vote for the image I see as the logo. Then I get into the gallery and I can't find the image. Then instead of voting and promoting and commenting on this image, I spend my time searching. I might see others I like and sometimes I get distracted and end up commenting on a different image. Sometimes I get frustrated and go to another gallery. Then this cycle might repeat itself.....

I am not sure if buyers run into this frustration, but if they do it could ruin a sale for you.

Have a great day

yeah, but the order changes every time you upload. i find it doesn't increase sales one way or the other so i personally don't bother with that. the buyers first have to like the images and find you from somewhere before they go into the gallery.

I just make sure my logo is in the first three rows. I figure that's good enough. I don't add enough work that they move all that fast, so once in a while I make sure things are still OK. Also, if I change logos, i move that picture up to the top. Just seems courteous Mike... otherwise you show them something, and then basically make them hunt for it. I've felt like Omaste has before...

maybe, but the order changes every time i can't chase down each one to make sure it's there each time. i only have to much time in a day.

Most of the time mine are in the first couple rows but I always assumed if its on the first page of the gallery it should be OK. I don't want to inconvenience anyone taking the time to visit my portfolio but it should only take a second or two to scroll down what is at most five rows of thumbnails.
