This was my self portrait when I worked in an office. My old boss bought a print of it and has it hanging in his office. He has a good sense of humor.

Sayeed........ you look a lot like Van Gogh !

Sure, why not. It looks like me as much as Vincent - but he does carry my traits. Stubborn, that is.Sell Art Online

@ mike- you really have that moustache? sooooooo cute!

@Janine, I can believe your piece as a self-portrait. All art we create is a sort of self-portrait isn't it? Whether it is actually you or not, if you are expressing yourself, you are in every work you do. Corny maybe but that's my thought on the subject of self-portrait.

@Sayeed, Beautiful Portrait.

I have been known to do a self-portrait if there are no other victims around.

So far I haven't seen any "pencil self--portrait " Van Gogh or not?

Posted by: Janine Riley on 04/21/2013 - 4:46 PM

You're right Laura, I believe we can see ourselves in all things. Our opinion of it at least.
I did put that disclaimer in because I just had this feeling...... that Mike Savad would come along & say " So... you're an Ass ? "
I beat him to it ! Lol

i don't think i would have phrased it like that since i don't curse, and i thought that was a horse.

@Sayeed, that is an excellent portrait of Van Gogh

Posted by: Janine Riley on 04/21/2013 - 5:51 PM

Mike - It's a Mule. & a Mule is also known as a Jack Ass - & that's not a curse. He is half horse, half Donkey.
I was just predicting your quick wit & humor, which I find rather amusing.

Posted by: Mike Savad on 04/21/2013 - 5:52 PM

saying something mean wouldn't be nice. plus i'd be banned.
