This thread is for card promotion!!
Here are the rules:
Post a comment/reply with *ONE* image per day that you want to promote.
In return, click through to the images before you, comment and vote on those you wish to. Everyone wins with more traffic, and the more you comment and vote, the more others will comment and vote back on your work, and the higher in the search rankings you'll go.
We're not selling cards, we are selling the creativity/artwork and engaging in the art of socialising. Glad to see that you have commented negatively in this group without posting an image of your work. I also refer to Fabienne's discussion where although I believe it was a matter of crunching numbers & refer to YouTube now being a phenomenon worldwide, give it time. I just think sometimes you're a little quick to dampen someone's spirit and have no filter on your opinion.
It's also a matter of networking not cards, if you don't get the point of networking discussion groups aren't your thing. That's my opinion.
@ellie - you just started here days ago, you really can't state an opinion about me when you don't know anything about me or how well i sell here. it's not about negativity as there was none in my post, it's about reality. this place is designed to mostly sell prints. cards for example, i charge $16 a piece for.
That would be true if your comments were feedback (negative or positive) about artwork...not just making a joke at someone feeling discouraged. As it was clear she wasn't being rude but felt demotivated and genuinely wanted a logical reason to help her get past it. So I'm not too fussed how long I've been on this site, you also don't know who I am and although I look up to others with more experience than me in art, we all start somewhere and my experience at being a nice person is on par with you...that's something we're all experienced in. If I offend you I'm sorry, see can't help being nice. I would just prefer it if you smiled back a bit more is all I'm saying
I make cards and they are all one of a kind card, all done by hand. For me it is a labour of love. this one is made from a silk screen print I made when I was in art school and I turned it into a pop up orchid card.
Here is one of my better selling cards, I sell very few here on FAA. I sell most of my cards elsewhere.
The suggested inner verse to continue from the front is ". . . because He knew how much you would cherish it. Happy Anniversary"
Here is my latest one of a kind card, it is a combination of watercolor and cut out of a wheel bug. the idea is when a person holds it up and can see another image behind the cut outs. the actually size is only 5"x7"
When I was in my youth my major passion and hobby was stamps collecting. I love those colorful little pieces of paper, each one was like a tiny work of art. last year, I had this idea to combine my past passion with my current art. I use the image of each stamp as inspiration for my painting. I paint post card size painting for my stamps. This one is a 5"x7" painting of the poppy stamp.
